While we had our dinner in Trier, we were told by the greek owners that there is a greek restaurant in Echternach. In fact we would never expect that it was on ... the german side of the borders!
As soon as you reach Echternach from the east there is a small narrow bridge leading you to Germany. A few meters lined up with restaurants lead you to this lovely greek restaurant named "Corfu".
Extensive menu catalogue, hearty portions of food (which was familiar to our palate), kind service.
All in all: you can sightsee in Luxembourg and have your meal in Germany!!!!!!!!!!!
The food here is great. A nice waitress (close your mouths guys) helped us translate some of the dishes served, but I stuck to pizza, basically.
For an atmosphere upgrade, they usually have some musicians standing by, which just gives the place a little extra!
Favorite Dish: I would definately recommend the carpaccio. It was just very, very good. The kind of dish you can finish without being very hungry at all.
Nice North-African restaurant not far from the cafe "Le Philosophe". We ordered tajines and couscous. While waiting, we were offered different little salads with bread (carrots/coriander - thuna - onions/tomatoes/pepers) - Delicious ! So were the tajines, couscous and the fresh-mint tea with orange blossom water. We ate so much that we couldn't eat any dessert afterwards even if some sounded pretty good. This restaurant is very small, so it's better to make a reservation. The service was really good.
This place is near the Veit, the main square in Echternach.
It looks like an old tearoom from the outside and the people that visit it are mainly over 50.
But we did not want to miss a good cup of coffee so we just entered.
And the cakes they serve.....delicious!
Favorite Dish: Spécialités: Macarons Mous d'Echternach.
