I strongly recommend that you walk up to the castle. From the central market square take the "Rue de Mersch" street and look out for the sign pointing uphill to some steps on the right hand side of the road. Taking this path you will be rewarded by splendid views over town and you walk right underneath the castle walls.
Of course you can also drive up and there is a car park up there. If you want to do that just follow the Rue de Mersch further until you see the appropriate turn off.
