Luxembourg's wine-growing community gathers at the start of December to announce the latest vintage of wine and crémant. Crémant is sparkling white wine similar to French champagne, with there being a very active although small winegrowing region along the banks of the Moselle. The Vins et Crémants Festival takes place in Luxembourg City on the Place Guillaume II, being held in a heated marquee. There are also lots of table decorations from Villeroy and Boch - who display their latest collections. Admission is free.
The Emaischen is a typical luxembourgish tradition, one in a year. Always on Easter-Monday. In fact it is a market with local products, held in the ancient part of Luxembourg-city, as well as in Nospelt (little town and a much smaller market). A very old tradition, but worth a look. Start at the palace and make your way through the old streets, and enjoy the Emaischen. Have fun.
Walk around the Schueberfouer and amuse yourself. The Schueberfouer is a fair taking place since the early 1300. And it is great every year.
The fair takes place on the Glacis, the last week in August and first week in September. Have fun.
