This is something very useful and practical. it allows you to travel all around Luxembourg in all means of transport (bus/train) as much as you want for free, plus free admission to lots of attractions and sightseeing spots, museums, etc. Also, there are big discounts on others.

Luxembourg region is the region of the capital city and its surroundings. I haven't been further than the Luxembourg City and Mersch in this region, so I can't really tell if there is something else besides that... and from what I've read, it doesn't seem to be a particularly apealing region. Lux City is a definite must, and the rest, well, you can move to other regions! :-)

Moselle is the land of the wine! It's the region along the Moselle river, with hilly slopes of vineyards, cute little towns and exuberant tourism. Everyone rushes to Moselle river, and the towns of Remich , Grevenmacher, Wasserbillig... are full of camps, ships, boats... Wine cellars and caves of Moselle are world famous, especially the sparkling wine.

This region is called Little Switzerland, for its exuberant nature. It's famous for the waterfalls, slopes, strange rock formations with morbid names, forests and charming towns. There are also nice castles, like Larochette and Beaufort. Do not miss Echternach, a beautiful town on the German border!

This is a very big region, with a lot of things to see! The main spots are Clervaux, Vianden, Esch-sur-Sure, Bourscheid castle, etc. It's a beautiful region with green fields and picturesque villages and towns, lots of castles, rivers, a lake and Natural Park...

You won't find huge, pompous hotels in Luxembourg, perhaps maybe in the Lux City, but I'm not sure even there. Hotels, pensions and guesthouses are all small, cute buildings, decorated with flowers and many with international flags. This pink one is from Vianden. Above is the castle of Vianden. Since 30% of population are foreigners, every kiosk holds internationl press, in many languages, even Serbian! Every kiosk had an issue of VESTI (news), magazine of diaspora in Serbian. There were also newspaper in Portuguese, Italian, German and French of course, etc...

The place d'Armes is the central square of Luxembourg City. It is fill to the point of saturation with cafes and restaurants.

As many of the restaurants here are quite good and I highly recommend that you come here more than once. Overall I think that the place d'Armes is possibly one of the best places in all of Europe to people watch.

The most spectacular are in the Luxembourg City! There are some of the most beautiful sunsests I have ever seen. Since it gets dark pretty late in the summer, you should count on a late sunset. Suggested viewpoint - the bridge on the fortress walls which are UNESCO heritage, right above Grund.
