Go and see Luxembourg (capital city has the same name as the country) Visit the tiny place La Rochelle. It seems boring but might be interesting. Several kilomters out of tiny Luxembourg you can get to Annecy. Yes I must confess it isn't in Luxembourg anymore but it is not to far away and so beautiful. Here you have the big lake of Annecy and fontains in the nice oldfashioned colourpainted city. You can find more about it on my LYON page! Strolling along on the paths in the woods

This little village is situated on a (hoogvlakte) with lots of green and flowers, and around it forest.Müllerthal, 45 residents at a height of 230 metres is even a more smaller place hidden in the valley of the Ernz Noire, (a little river which begins at the heights) around it high rocks of which the tops are covered with trees, which have given these surroundings their name.Remainings of the legendary Heringen castle en the waterfalls Schiessentümpel. Haller, 180 residents at a heigt of 280 metres is a more lively village and it is known for its gastronomic events. It is situated at the beginning of a romantic valley of the Hallerbach. Christnach, with 270 residents at a heigth of 260 metres has become a village that is looked at to be very characteristic thanks to the protection of architectural inherintance.Well kept walking...

One must visit Luxembourg City...

by drkaito

One must visit Luxembourg City first off, then you can visit all the castles throughout the whole country. Within a few days you can see almost all of the country, without missing out on all major attractions. The country is so small that's it's possible to go from the northern part to the south in just about a little over an hour. You must try the local food and local beers. Luxembourg is big on wine, especially ones which are made locally along the Moselle River. I enjoyed the shopping in Luxembourg and eating in really elegant restaurants. Also, I liked walking around the downtown area and sightseeing. The castles are awesome and so are the views from them. Many cities have such ambiance that make you feel like going back again and again.

When you arrive to Luxembourg...

by voyageur2

When you arrive to Luxembourg you will see the valley below the bridges and walls. It seems beautiful. But discovering the beauty completely depend on your intention to go down there. Its atmosphere is quite different from city center. You will feel the peace of old houses and silent streets. Ducks and pretty gardens will add necessary dimensions to your trip.

Luxembourg is the city i live,...

by Blutch

Luxembourg is the city i live, so i got lot of thinks to say about it. What you absolutely must see depends of the kind of trip u want!I will present it with 2 points, first the touristic attractions, and the second point for those who like to make party and have fun.1. One big advantage on Luxembourg is that it is a small country so if you stay in Luxembourg for 3 weeks it is possible to visit the most interesting thinks! ;o)The story of Luxembourgs starts in 963 so u can imagine all the different cultural and architectural thinks u have to see. If u start your trip in Luxembourg city u have to visit all the city do not worry it's not like New York or an other big city it is possible to visit the complete city in 2/3 days maximum. The most attractive places are the centrum with the 'Place d'Armes', near of that place, do not miss the 'Grand Ducal Palace' with the streets arround who...

Once known as the Gibraltar of...

by James63

Once known as the Gibraltar of the North for its formidable fortress capital city, the 999 square mile Grand Duchy of Luxembourg - the world's last grand duchy - is a fascinating combination of history and Old World charm. The country is chock-a-block with castles set against the backdrop of high rolling hills and, particulary in the north, dense forests such as the Ardennes, site of the World War II Battle of the Bulge. Besides offering the visitor more history per square inch than any country of comparable size, Luxembourg is also a country of charming towms with little central squares surrounded by cafes and restaurants serving 'French food in German portions.' The capital city, also called Luxembourg, is a unique blend of the new and the old, offering much to do in the way of shopping and cultural events in a compact easily walked size. Yet, it lacks much of the congestion and noise...

LUXEMBOURG Influential Capital City Although Luxembourg is a small city and the capital of a tiny country, it plays an increasingly important role in Europe. There are many international banks based in the city and it is Europe’s third largest banking centre, after London and Paris. Offices of the European Union (EU) are also based in Luxembourg. It looks very small but Luxembouurg has a big role in European economy.
