Phew, This is the most sorry excuse for a bar since i first ordered a beer 30 years ago. Man, unless you disrespect yourself completely, don't got here. What a waste of space and the personnel are so dreadful, they are making every effort to be disliked and pissed over. Damn. dress like *** and you will fit right in
I've stayed a couple of days in Luxembourg City (Europe). Somebody told me about a place/bar called "The Viking".I promise you yhat I did not regret a single minute I've soended there ! Nice (scanidinavian) people, good drinks, nice music and a crazy atmosphere ! Normal urban
'The Tube' is a bar located near the hostel. Its got a London theme hence the name.A beer is 3.80 euros.They give you free crisps and peanuts at your table if youre sitting around long enough drinking like i was!Its got a nice atmosphere to sit and chat to people.They also have football on tv!they dont really do food.
The Melusina is, unfortunately, the only decent nightclub left in Luxembourg. Other places are trashed by not-so-friendly immigrants or country-folk out to poke some fun.The Melusina has a friendly, somewhat modern atmosphere. It is usually packed on Fridays and Saturdays and on special nights.The music is mostly Hip-Hop/R&B/Dance/House/70's-80's Dance Pop depending on the night. There is generally something for everyone without any particular emphasis on any given style.The dancefloor gets busy around 1-2AM and gradually starts emptying around 4:30.The entrance is never free, with prices ranging from 7,50? (normally) to 15? (on very special occasions). There is no strict dress code to be applied, however the general tendancy is to tress in a modern/clubbing style. You occasionaly see the odd person in a suit or in a simple t-shirt/sneakers/jeans, but I beleive that people dressed too...
A snazzy interior (red of course), but no one seemed to care we were in jeans & casual wear! Sample wines by the glass or bottle. The bathroom vending machines sell little toothbrushes, in case you need to brush up!
Just check into your hotel and walk around the corner to the fabulous restaurant which catches your eye. You're in the heart of Europe. That premier(e) friend and dinner and wine and what the hell else do you need???
Luxembourg City has quite a few good bars with great beer selections. Walking from one place to another is a pleasure because this city is so pretty and safe at night! Put it this way... I didn't see anyone besides Americans wearing sneakers and baseball caps!
' Scotts' in Grud, 'The tube' in the upper town.'Arts cafe' (next to 'The tube' a bar where they play live music quite often. Once,while I was enjoying an excellent Belgian beer, I thought I heard the Cranberries themselves playing! That band was so good!On Saturday don't forget 'Prime-time'! It doesn't matter.
The Bronx Bar, best staff in Luxembourg, good hard Music, the bronx is a Rock bar if u like music like Led Zep, Metalica, AC/DC, Faith no more,...ok the list is too long, but if you like Rock, Hard Rock, Trash, Metal... this place is for you. In the Grund is a little bar called Scott's Pub. To be certain, it is a little unusual to go to Luxembourg to find a traditional British pub that is a bit touristy, but this place is fun, especially if you like the pub atmosphere. Not rollicking, but a great place to meet people, both Luxembourgers and British expats.Located in the Grund - the lower part of Luxembourg City - this is a very authentic British pub.
