One shop after another, or so it seems, in a neverending line, their windows full of such tempting cakes and pies and breads and all manner of pastries as these...thank goodness, you are in the middle of a multi-country roadtrip and it would be inconvenient and messy to take any of this with you. Otherwise, the choices would truly drive you mad!! ;-O many euros, but ultimately worth the price...

The clear-gel coating on these delicasies doesn't look very nice when your face is pressed against the glass like this. Seriously, it just makes them look slimy, not extraordinarily edible. Because the state of Luxembourg is wealthy, it doesn't really need money from tax. This is why everything that is heavilly taxed everywhere else in Europe, such as petrol and cigarettes, is comparatively cheap in Luxembourg. All the stores in the city seemed to close at 1800 (6 pm)... so arrive early to go shopping!
Yep -- that's just about all I've ever done in Luxembourg, shopping. Silly but it's true ...
