Moselle is the region super famous for its vineyards and wine cellars. I've visited a couple, and I was truly impressed! This is Bernard-Massard in Grevenmacher. They organize visit to the caves, demonstration of wine production with explication how the sparkling wine is made, a beautiful movie about Luxembourg and their cellar and wine tasting. You get to choose from several wines, I'd recommend Peach flavoured sparkling wine (!!!) I was very doubtful at first, but curious to try and it was one of the best sparkling wines I've ever had! Very bizarre! They export 75% of their wines, and they won a prize for the best sparking wine in the world, beating even famous Champagne region wines! Admission details: Caves Bernard-Massard (sparkling wine). Open from April 1 to October 31 daily from 9.30 a.m.to 6 p.m..Admission fees:adults 3 eur ,adults in a group 2,75 eur ,children 2 eur, children in a group 1,75 eur .The fee includes tasting of sparkling wine or grape juice. Of course, the first thing you'd probably do in Luxembourg is seeing the capital. It's the biggest city, with about 90.000 people. There is the Royal Palace, lovely downtown with pedestrian area, narrow streets and colourful houses, but all with dark blue roof tops, Grund "hole" with lots of museums, galleries, chruches, restaurants, all on water channels, parks... It's a very interesting town and full of life in the summer because all the time there is something organized! Leave a Comment

In the center of Clervaux, a bit elevated from the pedestrian area of the downtown 8but reachable also by labyrinth streets in the old town!) there is the feudal castle from the 12th century which hosts several exhibitions out of which the most impressive one is “The Family of Man ” and it's a world heritage of Unesco. The other exhibitions are Models of Ancient Luxembourg Castles (Admission fees:adults 2,50 EUR) and Battle of the Bulge Museum. Leave a Comment

This is the the city residence of the Grand-Ducal family. Since 1890 the main building has been the Grand Ducal Palace. Between 1992 to 1995 it has been restored. In my opinion it looks so unreal, reminds me of a Disneyland building. Leave a Comment

The bridge was built between 1900 and 1903 when Grand Duke Adolph was ruling the country. At that time the bridge had the biggest stone arch in the world. It has a total lenght of 153 meters and the big double arch spans more than 85 meters at a height of 42 meters. Leave a Comment

The castle of Bourscheid is not the only theing worthwile visiting, the village itself is very cute and there is wonderful nature surrounding it. There are vast fields, pine trees, hilly terrain (it's in a higher altitude), and there is a camping site half way to the castle from the village. it is also possible to take a train and sightseeing tour. Here is more info: - Touristic train "Buurschter Jangeli".Runs daily, except on Monday and Friday,in July and August from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m..Departure in front of the castle.Admission fees:adults 5 U , children 2,50 U ,children Leave a Comment

It's a lovely town up north, about 45' by train from Luxembourg City. The downtown is very cute (like all the other cities in Luxembourg), with narrow colourful streets full of flowers, shops, bars, restaurants, museums... On the top there is a castle and cathedral, with a picturesque trail to the abbey. It has 85 kilometres of well marked trails with viewpoints. Leave a Comment

Vianden is a wonderful town near German border, most famous as a place where Victor Hugo lived and its marvellous medieval castle on the top of the hill. There is a lovely riverside promenade, cable to take you to the top of the hill (higher than the one where the castle is) from where you can enjoy a spectacular view on the town and the surrounding landscapes, tourist train that tours around the area, etc...
