Clervaux is another city not be missed. The white castle in the middle of town is nice to take pictures of. But the main reason people visit are the cheap tabaco and alcohol shops. As Luxembourg has a very low tax on these products, it is the country to buy the stuff.People from neighbouring countries do their shopping here while they also fill up their tank, because the tax on fuel is also very very low.......

Rock formations and forests can be found around the Mullerthal. Nature is very abundant here. Although in peak season it gets crowded and people tend to leave a lot of rubbish......There are many path through the area to hike along. And if you like cycling, this is a great area too.

Luxembourg City is the capital of the same named country...It's nice, you can visit the ruins of our former fortress, walk thru the catacombs, eat a bite on the Place d'Armes..in about half an hour you'll have seen the most obvious things...But the country side is nice, especially the North of the country, like the Mýller Tal or Vianden..lots of nice spots to rest and eat a piece of our good ham...The Eastern part is interesting too, you'll find wineyards and nice wine-shops, you can walk along the river named Mousel and have a swim in the Remerschen lakes..
you should go on the big rocks that are a mighty sight to see. The rock formation probably arose after the big ice-age, for the rocks are randomly placed. The rocks have names like Pulpit (Predigstuhl) and Robbers' den. In the middle of these rockformations are caves, we did not dare to go in there out of fear to get lost. One cannot imagine the looks of these rocks without visiting them and climbing them. Small paths lead from rock to rock, sometimes it is not more than a gap between two rocks.

Of all the castles in Luxembourg, the castle at Vianden is probably the most strikingly situation. It sits on top of a high hill that hangs over the town of Vianden. It is in turn surrounded by even higher hills from which there are outstanding views of the town and castle. The castle itself was originally built in the 11th century though it has been restored many times since. In fact at the time of the Second World War it did not even have a roof in place. The castle museum attempts to give you some idea of how the castle looked in medieval times with exhibits in its kitchens and dungeons. Today the castle is also used for banquets and for diplomatic gatherings.

buildings on the street, you may think they are just pretty new buildings, but some actually not! Also, bulidings near to the valley or at the valley... what a real 3d picture!high altitude with old buildings - makes you think of the old time there.

The fortress of Luxembourg is a must for anyone who loves both history and engineering. The fortress was begun in the 10th century by Count Siegried of Ardenne on rocky outcrop on the south end of the town. Built as it was on a steep ledge flanked on three sides by steep valleys the fortress appears to be extremely formidable. The fortress had many additions since the 10th century. Most interesting of these additions was constructed in the late 17th century by the brilliant French military engineer Vauban. He contributed the magnificent casemates that were cut into the rocky ledge. These subterranean galleries can be toured and are very interesting. In all there are about 17 kilometers of passages.

The ruins of Larochette Castle, that are located on a headland of the Luxemburgish sandstone, are dominating at a 150 m height the White Ernz valley, an affluent of the River Sure. In order to access to the spur, you have to pas inside a wide “basse-cour” that is protected by fortification made of clay. The main castle, which is built of stone, is protected by a The ruins of Larochette Castle, that are located on a headland of the Luxemburgish sandstone, surrounding wall that nowadays is destroyed for its main part. A deep ditch that partially is of a natural origin, divides the castle in two parts. At the extremity of the headland, the remains of several manor houses attest the quality and pompous style of this castle architecture. Since the acquiring of the castle in 1979 by Luxemburgian State, the historical buildings of Larochette castle have taken benefit of a large restoration...
