This place is really nice as the gardens are very big and one can and go to read a book, walk around and relax ! Once there used to be animals however now there is only a pond with ducks as far as I know.
After that one can have a coffee next door at Melita Gardens !

Being amost central in the Island, San Anton Gardens with the Governors Palace, are ideally situated for visiting all parts of the island and the cheapest way is by buses Some of these buses would appear to be museum pieces with a number being over 35 years old and almost always owner operated, but under the control of Awtorita' dwar it-Trasport ta' Malta
Vehicle suspension and some dramatic holes in the roads, makes the journey somewhat bone crunching ,but it is a great way to see the island and to get to and from Attard to Valletta, or anywhere else on the island providing you are not in a hurry. A bus ticket to use on buses travelling anywhere on the Island for the day, costs less than 4 Euro, so it certainly is a good deal

Standing in Pjazza Tommaso Dingli is St. Mary's Church, dating from the early 1600s. It is considered to be one of the finest renaissance buildings in all of Malta.
The square has a couple of Cafes on it, but both were (bizarrely) closed for siesta (isn't siesta the time people go to cafes?).
