Attard has also its own ceramic shop, called Ceramica Seracina. It is one of the oldest pottery makers on the island. The ceramics and pottery have a unique design, unlike any other in Malta.

Opening hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 8 am and 5 pm, or by appointment.

What to buy: There are lots of items to choose from, such as figurines, plates, vases etc.

What to pay: A little more expensive than average.

Narrow Streets, Wide Busses

A Maltese Bus

The streets between Attard and Balzan were quite narrow, and sometimes had cars parked along them. The bus had to go very carefully at times. At one point, in Balzan, it reached a point where it couldn't pass, a car was sticking too far into the road.
The bus driver stopped, blared his horn a few times and when that brought nobody to the car he just stopped his engine and waited.
We were there about 15 minutes before someone from a car in the queue that had formed behind had the idea of lifting the car further into the kerbside. He, I and the bus driver did this and the bus could then go on its way. It's debateable whether the car driver could get his car back out from the spot in which we left it without lifting it again.

Old Parish Church - Liya, Attard

Liya, Attard

Belvedere - Liya, Attard
