If you have to escape the heat, this is an ideal place to visit. Great pies and lunch goodies with cool drinks or all kinds of coffee.
The whole place is air-conditioned well and besides the cafe, there is a big games (pool tables & darts) room.
Also you can use the Internet section (20+ terminals) and international phones.
Favorite Dish: Ham and cheese sandwich.
Strawberry milkshake.

Mr. Kebab is a small joint at a busy corner of Tourist Street one block from the Bus Terminal. It's opposite a busy day tour booking office and it's a coming and going of public transport vans.
Favorite Dish: All dish comes with rice and beans, a lot of nuticion at low price. Value for money!

Geronimo is designed as a Wild West resaurant. Fun for a theme night. Food is allright (even the chef came to the table to ask if everything was alright). Service at the resaurant at the opposite side seemed far better.

Ta'Cassia is a great outdoor local Maltesian restaurant. It is housed in a former farmhouse and the dining area is located in between the trees of the the old yard.
The whole place has a romantic setting and you can extend your evening at the nightclub section.
UPDATE:
I got a message from the restaurant owner -Manuel Attard- the ta'Cassia Farmhouse Restaurant has been moved to a new location in Salina.
Favorite Dish: Anything Maltesian, from rabbit to seafood.

Turkish Delight is a good place to get something to eat to have outside on a bench somewhere or to take back to your Apartment. They sell Burgers and Kebabs that come with salad and / or chips, rice etc.
Not the best food and you can get cheaper and better meals but as it is open late it is handy to go when you come out of the pub/club and are feeling hungry.

This lovely restaurant was empty when we went in and we thought maybe we had made a mistake as the greasy looking cafe place over the road was full. We soon found that we had stumbled upon one of Malta’s gems, a total food experience that certainly left a lasting impression on my mind.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a modern style that’s light but relaxing making a most pleasant atmosphere.
service was quick and friendly and the menu offers a good range of Maltese food all mouth wateringly good looking and makes the choice of what to eat very difficult.
They brought us some Pea and Mint soup (on the house) as a pre starter and on tasting it i knew we were in for some great food.
I had a Maltese salad to that was delicious and consisted or Olives, capers, pickled onions, sundried tomatoes amongst other items. Evan had Bruschetta (and it was a plate full)
For main course i had Rabbit done in a Traditional style, the main course comes with lovely Roasted potatoes and Veg, Evan had Rabbit as well but his was cooked in wine and garlic.
We had drinks which were not expensive even by local standards.
All in all this was a fantastic experience and the food was certainly the best I have had on Malta and in quite a while. It was not expensive as both our meals and our drinks came to €36.90 and could have been cheaper if we had gone for something other than the Rabbit.
If you visit Bugibba then eating here is a must

Ta’Far Ben is a restaurant, lido and snack bar, located underneath Qwara tower and bastion. The Lido area has a pool and lots of sun beds, and the restaurant looked very nice. We popped into the snack bar for a bite to eat after walking round all morning. We were served by a friendly English person, originally from London but who lives in Malta.
Favorite Dish: We both had cheese burgers with onions which had been cooked well and were very tasty, priced at €3.95.

Il Garra Trattoria is the bar and restaurant of the white Dolphin apartments, it is Open to non guests as well as guests the Restaurant serves fantastic Italian/Maltese style food and the excellent menu leaves you spoilt for choice with some great sounding pasta dishes, salads and steaks. You can sit outside in the courtyard area or inside in the equally lovely and tastefully decorated restaurant bar area.
After some hard deliberation we opted for a brochette starter followed by Pasta dishes, I had pasta with mixed seafood and feta cheese, Evan had Pasta with tomato chilli flakes and bacon. They were delicious.
Normally we would not have bothered with a desert but when offered a Maltese trifle, well you just have to try it don’t you? It was a delicious multi coloured trifle that went down a treat and left us wanting more. Resisting the temptation.
They have a Maltese night on Thursdays, Karaoke on Fridays and a BBQ on Monday Nights. All the food is fantastic.
Favorite Dish: The food at the all you can eat BBQ on Mondays was really fantastic. €17.50 each

What a superb bar! Mitch and Anita were so friendly. Live music, quiz night and fantastic homemade cooking including pie and mash. I spent most evenings of my holiday in this bar and was made very welcome.
