This restaurant is on the seafront with a great view over the bay you can swim in the sea from the concrete beach below not part off the restaurant.
It was very busy the last night there was a que outside, try going a bit earlier.
We had breakfast most days and some evening meals also.
I am going to give this restaurant four stars mainly for the price service and the food.
Favorite Dish: We tried the a Maltese dish Bragioly one night which may have been one off the best meals we had. If you want something different try this.
I also liked the chicken in garlic and rice very filling.

The Tavern is owned and run by Robbie and Jane bell. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the restaurant was very spacious with a lovely breeze from the newly fitted air conditioning. The menu had a vast choice from Traditional Maltese food like beef olives, rabbit stew, fried rabbit, local fish and pasta to favorites like lamb shank, steaks, mixed grill and Sunday roast. There was a children's menu too and a fantastic home made sweet menu.
I visited the restaurant three times in the week that i stayed and will be back again next year.
Favorite Dish: Lamb shank slowly cooked in red wine.

The first day we stoped for a burger in the afternoon which was good and a few beers.
We tried this restaurant twice in the evening the food was ok. One night we had the fixed price menu good value I had the steak which was different to what I was expecting the other night the mixed grill.
We tried the breakfast one morning and the eggs were raw and covered in black bits from the grille and beans were not very good a well I asked for the eggs to be cooked a bit more.
It was a pity realy they let them selfs down but they do some great burgers, we did not eat there anymore.
Favorite Dish: Burgers

I have visited this restaurant before about nine years ago and it is still a good restaurant today slightly more expensive than some but worth it.
The restaurant is open all day and you can buy your breakfast stop for a drink have a pizza.
Favorite Dish: Pork fillets which are with a sauce and served with potatoes off the day or chips plus veg.
I had this the first day off our visit and had the same on our last vist.
There was four pieces off pork plus onen potatoes and veg I was stuffed after eating this meal but enjoyed it.

We visited this very friendly bar in Bugibba whilst on holiday. Mitch and Anita made us feel most welcome and the food was out of this world. On our first visit there we had the full english breakfast which was the best we had tasted in Malta, so we went back most days for breakfast and dinner and had many different meals off their varied menu. We joined in the quiz night on friday which was a great laugh and on sat night they played the old 45 rpm records of the 60s and 70s. We recommend a visit to anyone in the area.
Favorite Dish: Anita makes a superb home made steak pie. Delicious!

This is one of the best fish restaurants in all Malta. Although the decor is nothing special and the name (a german town) has nothing to do with the food served. Try the Spaghetti with Prawns or Sea Urchins, or with seashells (vongole). Then go for the fresh fish of the day. Don't be scared to try boned fish, the staff will clean it for you at the table. For dessert there's no betaing the Tiramisu', the best I've tasted outside Italy. If you you don't like fish don't worry plenty of meat dishes to choose from.
Favorite Dish: Fresh fish

There are lots of lovely restaurants in Buggiba serving a selection of English, Italian and Maltese inspired dishes!
We have never had a bad meal in Buggiba so wander around until something takes your fancy.
Don't go half board here its a real waste!
Local wine & beer is excellent & very reasonable.
Favorite Dish: If you like rabbit the maltese cook it beautifully in garlic & wine, different restaurants have different recipies - some are dry, others quite saucy.
Brajiolli is minced beef with various flavourings (garlic, olives etc) wrapped in a thin slice of beef & cooked in a tomato & wine sauce till tender.
Pizza is italian style, thin & crispy & the ones with blue cheese are wondeful. Pasta is good everywhere - lots of variety. Garlic bread is very strong in most places & great.
Most restaurants serve lots of fresh fish & seafood in a variety of styles
