Bugibba bar

Bugibba boasts many restaurants full of tourists especially during the summer months. Many of them are located around the main square and serve all ranges of cuisine from Italian to McDonalds, but also Maltese.

The prices are convenient and even lower than we expected for the beer and wine.

La Pasion: Passionate about "La Pasion"

"La Pasion" is a bar and restaurant with excellent food. The Menu includes pizza's,pasta's,steaks, fish cakes, pork chops, burgers, salads and much more. Lots of other restaurants have similiar menu's but what's different and brilliant about this place is that all food is freshly prepared once the order is taken, nothing is pre-prepared. We wandered in to "La Pasion" on the first night of our holiday at about 10:30 for a drink and were greeted by the lovely smiling face of Charmaine (Bar person). I Knew straight away that we would spend a lot of time there. We ate there every day at least once a day if not twice. We met lots of couples during our two week stay who also agreed that the food was excellent and ate there on numerous occasions. Inside the restaurant is candle lit and romantic. There is also two big screen televisions inside which was excellent to watch the world cup matches. On a Friday and Saturday night there is Kareoke which is a good laugh. I made some wonderful friends at this restaurant and will travel to Malta and to "La Pasion" for many years to come.

Favorite Dish: Its hard to describe my favourite meal because there were lots of them. I do know that there were a number of meals that other customers also recommended very highly. These included the T-Bone steak, Pork chops, Fish cakes, Penne Carbonara. Apart from the carbonara all meals are served with fresh salad and chips. The Pizza's are delicious and the best I tasted while in Malta.

can't remember: Kebabs like you've never seen

this place has a wide range of kebabs, chicken & lamb, all fresh & home made. also does very good american style pizza if your not keen on the thin italian style served elsewhere. Vegetarian? Not a problem huge range of very tasty salads including couscous, potatoes & rice plus french fries. Top Tip: try the home made tomato sauce - its lovely.

Favorite Dish: Donor kebab is nothing like what we get at home - lean, fresh & tasty. Served with a choice of salad, in a pitta bread or on a plate with salad, chips & pitta on the side.

really sweet little restaurant with a handfull of tables outside, food is lovely & fresh. Saw maltese people eating here which is always a good sign. Proper italian pizza, pasta & more. Ate here a couple of times & couldn't complain about anything

Favorite Dish: Gorgonzola pizza is fab - rich & very naughty with thin light base & lovely tomato sauce. Meatballs were firm, cooked perfectly & very tasty. garlic bread was great - very smelly - order 1 between 2 as otherwise you won't eat your main meal!

This restaurant is more further away from Bugibba actually it is at the end of bugibba beginning of St Paul's Bay. I recommend this restuarant even thought it might seem a little expensive but the food is very good nearly out of this world !

The ambience of the place is quite big but at the same time very pleasant.

Favorite Dish: Duck with orange sauce (I love duck and always looks out for it on menus of the various restuarants I visit)

Time Out interior

Time Out proved to be the best lunch stop we made. Amazingly it was within a minute walk from our hotel, but the Tourist street is not the first street people explore.

Great service, excellent food and air conditioned!

Favorite Dish: Lunch.

Chez Gaetane: Good Food & Simple Food

Veggie Risotto

We ate at Chez Gaetane twice while we were at Bugibba - partly because they did good food that we enjoyed and partly because they did simple food that our parents liked.

Favorite Dish: I had a veggie risotto the first time and spring rolls the second time. Both meals were really nice, and very filling. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive (but not to the point of being intrusive) - probably the best we encountered (and we found almost all staff on the Island to be excellent).

The buffet starters

The Little Wok is one of a small number of Chinese restaurants around. We were welcomed friendly and we got personal attention.

Credit cards are welcome.

Favorite Dish: The buffet (fridays & saturdays). LM 4.90.
