  • Amazing but not when it's too crowded!

The clear clean waters of the blue lagoon are second to none and this is the main reason why it is a must to visit it in summer. Unfortunately during the peak of summer it gets too overcrowded and full of boats. The beach is very tiny and Ioses a bit of its magic when its covered with umbrellas. Ideally its best to avoid the weekend. Other than this, it is simply a heaven on earth!

Pure white sand and crystal clear water surrounded by carved rock formations... the main reason why thousands of tourists visit Comino every year.

The Blue Lagoon's cyan waters and marine transformed it into the most popular spot for divers, snorkelers and swimmers.

    Heaven on earth...

    Blue lagoon Comino

Its absolute fantastic!, the water is so blue, magnificient views! There is a small beach with sand, but its ofcourse overcrowded, you can also hire a sunchair at the pier, but I can tell you: you will never regret that you visited this tiny little Island. A swim in the Blue Lagoon is a must do thing!

    Blue Lagoon

There is not much to see on this tiny island, sandwiched between Malta and Gozo, but I guess if you come here, you really only come to swim in the Blue Lagoon.

You can brink your snorkel, but there are not many fish to see. There are some that crowd around the boat looking for scraps of food from those lovely lunches served on board the boat (well it was on the one we were on), but if you do want snorkels they can hire them out to you.

Just swim in the lovely clear water, or go for a walk down to the tiny little piece of sand when there are two mobile "shops" selling burgers etc., and ice cream.

You can walk the gravelly little paths, but it is all rocks, rocks, and more rocks. Although the views are worth the trip.

    Blue Lagoon !

The blue lagoon is a must when visiting Comino as the water is really nice and clean there. Even though the sandy beach is very small and at times it can get packed with people especially foreigners. Therefore I don;t suggest that you go during the weekend in peak Summer like July and August as it will be crammed and packed - at times hardly space to moe around. Here its the best place to go snorkling as there are loads of fish to see.

On the beach you will find hardly any kiosks to buy drinks or something to eat. The last time I went there was only one or two.

As you can see from the photo the blue Lagoon can get a bit over crowded with boats taking people to visit this lovely place.

The blue lagoon has very clear waters and is a nice place to have a swim or a snorkel. Get here early though. We went there at 8am and by 9 the boats were coming in. After 10 I was told that the place gets packed and is therefore not worth going due to large crowds.

Even from our lovely wooden boat, you could have spotted a variety of fish, dancing & playing in the crystal waters!
