These kids were determined to make a human pyramid and tried gamely for quite a while. They never actually managed to get the final person onto the top, though they got very close several times. It was fun to watch them try.

There's always someone messing about with a football too. Usually they end up booting it yoyr way and disturbing you, but not this guy. He was the most skillful ball player I've ever seen outside of a pro team. He did "keep-ups" seemingly forever using head, thigh, chest and feet and some pretty impressive flicks and balances too. I could have watched for ages.

If there's a beach there's almost always beach volleyball. Usually the players are pretty rubbish, having rarely played before, but these guys were quite good. There were only four of them, a guy and a girl on each side, but they had some pretty good plays.

You can do a spot of parascending at Golden Bay - I imagine the views from up there are wonderful as the bays around here are very beautiful.
