Scuba diving is popular in Gozo with numerous dive sites and companies catering for divers. Shore dives are popular though boat diving is available too.
We went with St Andrews Diving Cove in Xlendi who have been operating since 1989 and would highly recommend them. Friendly, accomodating and professional they offer the usual courses and night dives etc.
St Andrews host individual divers as well as groups and are literally 10 metres from the waters edge.
Equipment: You can rent all equipment at St Andrews. However their wet suits are tough to get on - bring some talcum powder to reduce the friction!
Equipment Hire is 4 LM per dive or 3 LM if you dive both morning and afternoon in the same day.

The Maltese islands attract every year thousands of tourist, lovers of nature and sun and most of them declare that the best dive sites are off Gozo.
Fantastic natural arches, tunnels, wrecks, caves and lagoons to explore transform Gozo into a paradise for the divers.
Swimming off the rocks beneath the watchtower or around the reef and rock formations is something that you can do only in Xlendi bay.
The paths cut into the rock give you also the possibility to explore the surroundings and admire the beautiful and steep cliffs.

We've been going to Gozo for a number of years now and generally try to get over at least once a year. We love it. The people, the pace of life, the scenery, the food.
