Paparazzi Pizzeria Actually named Paparazzi Restaurant but the name is a little presumptuous. Reasonable food. Expectable price. Large portions. Quality reasonable. What it lacked in quality it made up in quantity and speed of service was comforting. The view is excellent sitting half way up the hill on St. George street overlooking Spinola bay. Traffic is unbelievably heavy but a pay car-park is on top of the hill and 300 metres to the left on the same road. I would call this a medium priced place in which one could spend a pleasant evening with friends. Go for the view.
My mixed fish platter looked great but taste disappointing but then again the price I paid was miniscule. A late-night restaurant of eclectic tastes. Not particularly excellent but enjoyable enough and the food is as natural as you can get. Cheap as chips and reminds me of my student days, only now it is Yuppy country. A room is given over to an Art gallery. I shall not comment on the displayed art. The place is easy to miss. It is a normal house which once was an oven. So the name: Il-Forn (The Oven). I would have enjoyed it more if the smell from the Pigeon Avery on the adjoining roof did not mix smells with my food and service was not confined to only 1 waiter and 1 waitress. I hope the cook was not the artist. 8/10 for the food and the location.

Within the unassailable siege walls of the citadel of Mdina lie treasures beyond price. Protected by a dry moat on one side and sheer cliffs on the other, entry is by a 300 year old stone bridge. Flanked by battlements that have never been assailed in the hundreds of years of guard duty, the bridge road leads you to the heart of the City. Within the Fortress hides Ciapetti. Deep down a narrow lane it offers the few who enter, the tastes of the hidden Mediterranean pleasure and a touch of simple class. The nondescript door allows you in the front yard. From the flag-stones, a step leads you into the Bar and Kitchen and beyond that, the Garden. You are surrounded by high stone walls and sheltered by soft gentleness of the fading evening blue above your head. Dining is Al Fresco. Bougainvilleas play the evening breeze and make the stars, above you, twinkle as the leaves come between you and the planets. Stardust is served discreetly by ghosts and Moon-beams fill you glass without interruption. Traditional Cuisine is lightly blended with artistic flair to simplify the conversation. If one enjoys food, then you will be impressed. If one also enjoys conversation, then it has the perfect mix for getting to know your Lover. Be aware, you have to compete with the magic of the night airs and the Gods of the Island's past. Be my guest and feel the real Mediterranean. We will speak of olives and oil. Of vinegar, bread, wine and music. Alas, time is altogether too quick.

I have been here before but not with this wonderful French inspired cuisine. The 3 rd floor overlooks Spinola Bay through wide open windows. The decor is simple and pleasant and an air of sophistication is in evidence. Service is discreet and unobtrusive. Food is tasty and simple with local flavours mixed in with freshest sea-food. Pricey but very enjoyable. Enough for it to be my first restaurant on my return.
No dish is special in its own way but it is the taste and freshness that pleases my eyes and stomach. I tried fish, Squid and pate' and sorbets. All had the same care. If you want to taste the Original Maltese cheese you should not miss this place. It's located at the foot of the Citadel in Gozo's Rabat.
Order a cheese platter, you'll get fresh cheese, dried cheese (the best taste when it's rolled in pepper), fresh tomatoes, dried tomatoes, onion, capers, olives with wonderful fresh bread. Take red wine with it and you will get the full pleasure. Leave a Comment Theme: LocalDirections: Capital of Gozo called Rabat. In the centre is the Citadel, when you walk up stay on the left side - you cannot miss it.

In my opinion the best restaurant in St Julians Bay. Has an excellent view over the marina and offers many local dishes and fresh seafood. The service and food were outstanding that I returned twice during a three day stay on the Island. The attention to detail was was excellent with the wine waiter coming during he meal to top up glasses and even refresh the ice in the bucket! I visited the second time with a vegetarian and he was also impressed with the wide selection on the menu. Two year on I have just returned from another visit and the restaurant has been refurbished and the quality remains hats off to the head chef Adam De Manuele, the fish soup was perfect!!!
Favorite dish was the salt baked sea bass which is roasted in the oven under a crust of sea salt and then filleted and served at the table. This is one of the best sea food dishes that I have had. The minestone soup was also perfectly cooked and served with local homebaked crusty bread. Leave a Comment

A nice Terrasse on Bugibba's Bay Square. We decided to try this restaurant for our first meal in Malta. We paid something like 16 euros for a menu : * 1 glass of wine * First course : Cannelloni (Well at home it would be all my meal) * Second course : Bragioli (Maltese speciality) * Ice cream Everthing was tasty and we enjoyed it so much we took our last breakfast there.

Find this coffee house in Mdina. Its on the city wall and has an outdoor terrace overlooking the island. If you can get a good table with a good view, try out the wonderful chocolate cake - moist and delicious. If you cant get a good table, I would try again later in the day. I havent tried any of the other eats, so cant vouch for them. Also be warned that the table service is very slow.
