Dingli is the highest point of Malta, and the impressive cliffs, about 1 kms. south of the village, are more than 250 m. above sea level.
Last pic: St. Mary's Parish/Church Parish Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, in Dingli village.

The Church of St. Mary is the Parish Church of Mosta and was built in 1.860 over another church that was built in 1.614. It's circular and the dome is the fourth largest in the world.
In 1.942, during the WWII, a bomb landed on the church floor and slid across the floor without exploding.
The city of Mosta is in the centre of Malta island, some 2,5 kms. north of Mdina.

For sandy beaches, the biggest sandy beach in Malta is Mellieha bay. Other options are the 3 sandy beaches which are found near each other called Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha and Gnejna bay. Other than this there is just one other sandy beach in Malta which is found in the south called Pretty Bay in Birzebbugia.
All of these beaches (not sure about Pretty bay) offer the option to hire umbrellas and sunbeds or do some watersports such as jetski, paddle boat, canoe, banana rides, etc. They also have kiosks where you can buy food, drinks or some water games.
Please note that in summer all these beaches will be very packed with both locals and foreigners. Also, avoid taking any expensive items in your beach bags as unfortunately they might get stolen when left alone on the beach - most of the time by other tourists, usually students!.
Should you wish to go to a sandy beach in gozo, then there is the lovely beach called Ramla Bay. There are another 1 or 2 sandy beaches although these are just tiny strips of sand (ex. Xlendi Bay) and i don't really consider them beaches.
When going to the beach ....PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE SUN BLOCK WITH YOU!!
The sun in Malta is extremely strong and trust me, you don't want to start off your holiday with a massive red sunburn! Oh and remember to put cream on your feet and ears too...you'd be surprised at where you can get sunburnt!! ;)

Actually they have so much things to do and little time to do it, but for me, i just did those things thats dont take me a whole day, I did jetskiing its cost 40 EU per 30 mins, parasailing 45 EU per person and i did that with my sister and she visited me and spent a day with me, she was there for 3 weeks for learning English (EF school), snorkling u can hire fo5 EU and everything on it and even try the scubadiving thats coz me 50 EU but its so good to see some fish, but i cant really high recommeded, beacuse there is not so much to see. Well If you want to do this the best things to do is, ask the reception of the hotel and u might get some less, not a lot but at least, u can get some.
Abt the excursion you can always ask ur travelagency who always there twice a week or the receptions of the hotel. I did one excursion, me and the friends i met there in hotel, we went in Blue lagoon, but actaully is very good to snorkling there to see some fish. thats excursion cost me 35 inclusive luch.

Malta can offer 5,000years of history spanning from prehestoric times with world best stone age temples through Historical places, fortifications and museums,One of the famous events in history is the great siege event which happened in 1565 where Malta withstood the turkish invasion of 50,000 turks which saved europe from the turks advancement and after a few months they left empty handed with more or less half the army and their leader killed.
The fotifications on the island are massive and impresive especially in Valletta,Mdina and the tree cities.
The sea is clean both on sandy or rocky beaches and especially in the island of comino( the smallest of the three islands) is fantastic clear.
Restaurants and nightlife is great especially in St Julians.
Airport and transport is very cheap and the Maltese are very helpfull and can communicate in most languages.
Malta is rather safe at all times and easy to go around from one place to another.
Our language is called semetic & romantic cause of the arabic and european content because of different rulers over the hundred of years on the island considering that Malta was considered as a very good base in the centre of the meditteranean.
As you can see Malta offer more than just a few churches but it always depend on the time one have to go around.
Should you need any more help just ask..
Enjoy

Valetta is the capital of Malta! It is very nice for shopping, sightseeing and to go out for food. You should definitly visit the Auberge de Castille, the Lower and the Upper Barracca Gardens, the St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Grand Masters Palace and Fort St. Elmo.

Gozo is very green and quite island and there are many things to discover.
First we went to Rabat. We visited the Citadel from which we had a nice view around the whole island. Walk through the narrow streets and have lunch there.
Then we went to the Azur Window on the west coast. We did a boat trip which was a great experience for just € 3,50 per person. A must!
Ggantija Temples are some of the most famous temples in Gozo/Malta. You can't really see very much but one has again a nice view around.
All the cities are very small. You can see very much on one day.

There are many things to see in Mdina and we didn't spend enough time in this city to see all that we wanted. The magic starts when you go through the city gate of Mdina when you could visit dungeons or Palazzo Vilhena. The cathedral San Pawl has very nice pink/red colours and a baroque style. I enjoyed the nice little roads (you can imagine you travelled to middle age there) and the architecture. There are also some roman and prechristian remains in Rabat but we didn't have the time to visit it.

If you want to enjoy a short boat ride, you should go to Wied iz-Zurrieq and pay for a ride along the cliffs : there is a very nice sight from above and the water looks very very blue if you go early in the morning.

The perfect place to stay in Malta is St. Julians. There are many bars and restaurants and very nice hotels, but it is not too busy and touristic.
