Virtu Ferries runs a ferry service between Pozallo on the island of Sicily and Valetta on the island of Malta. The ferry is high speed and very clean and pleasant with plenty of seating. I believe that they also ocassionaly run the ferry service to Naples too but don't quote me on that.
The ferry transports automobiles as well.

Although we are a very small Island compared to other developed countries we have a very modern and efficient airport and also a National Airline.
One can use AIRMALTA from all any major airport in Europe,North Africa and the Middle East.....the good service starts once you board AIR MALTA.

Malta get most of its visitors through the cruise ship destination industry.....when they arrive in the harbour they are taken to organised tours or one can also wander alone over the Island.....but be sure to go back to your ship on time!!

Spend a day on a cruise boat ....The crew is fantastic and will make you comfortable during the cruise ....let it take you on a voyage around the Maltese Islands while you"ll having that bronse suntan and drinking Maltese wine with an excellent on board buffet at noon...then discover Comino and Gozo...our Sister Islands...it is an experience you will remember for a long time.

Taxis in Malta are expensive. The best way to get a taxi is from your hotel because most hotels use a specific taxi company and have set fares that can sometimes be billed directly to your room.

The public buses are very old though they are slowly modernizing the fleet. Since the taxis are so expensive, it is best to use buses in Malta and they basically go everywhere.

The perfect place to stay in Malta is St. Julians. There are many bars and restaurants and very nice hotels, but it is not too busy and touristic.
