    Giuseppi's: Great food

    by Classic73 Written Dec 3, 2011

A cozy little restaurant with an Italian air, Giuseppi's was recommended on the net, and (luckily!) my wife and I decided to give it a chance. Besides the set menu, the restaurant offers an assortment of chef's specials - a lot, actually! My hat's off to the waitress for remembering all of them! They all sounded delicious, so choosing one was tough, but the result certainly lived up to our expectations.
Risotto and fish "frittes" for starters, rabbit and lampuki (fish) as the main, accompanied by a nice bottle of Maltese white wine (Isis). With some salad on the side and a cappuccino to finish off the meal, it came to 85 euro. A bit pricey for Malta, but well worth it!

Favorite Dish: I opted for one of the (many!) chef's specials for my main - a local fish called a lampuki, and a great choice it was! Served with a tomato coulis/relish and fried potatoes, this lovely fish simply melted on the tongue.

  • Ta Kanani: excellent bar/restaurant great value and service

by gazstrong Written Feb 24, 2012

Lovely bar and restaurant on the Main St in Mellieha, bar far the least expensive and the best food we ate in our entire holiday. It looks like it had recently been renovated and has a nice ambience and a good mix of friendly clientele from locals, expats to tourists like ourselves. The staff are all attentive and friendly particularly Gina who never seems to stop working. Good selection of beer wine and spirts, indeed the pints of Cisk at €2.40 were the cheapest i came across in town.

Favorite Dish: amazing pizza, never had anything like them before they have to be seen and eaten to be believed. The ribeye steaks were top quality also.

La Baiha Cocktail Bar: Bar in hotel

by ginte Updated Apr 11, 2008

A cosy bar in the hotel where except all other beverages you can try Kinnie as well. This is traditional Maltese soft, non-alcoholic, bitter-tasting drink, made from bitter oranges and aromatic herbs, and is caramel in colour.
