To Mosta by the Hop-on & off-bus
is one of the possibilities to go there. Buses are leaving each 30 min from Sliema and for the full day you pay 15 euros. I took the very first bus, spent some time in the park of the president, 1 hour in the Aviation-museum,30 min in Mostar and finally 1,5 hour in Mdina, that was the maximum I could do in a single day. All the other places of the tour I stayed onboard and got back by the last bus in the evening.
The seats on the lower floor of the bus are simply too hot, the ones on top are great, but sometimes you are hit by branches of trees and you need a cap that will not fly away in the winds.

The cathedral of Mosta is closed between 12.00 noon and 03.00pm, so you can go inside the church only, when you go there by the very early buses.
I came back for my photos by a minibus, I payed 6,50 euros for that, read more about it in my "warnings-tips " !

Malta has an excellent bus-service, although their buses are mostly totally outdated. From Valetta you can take the buses No. 43, 44, 45, 47,49,50,52,56,58 or 59
from Sliema bus No.65 and No. 86 from Bugibba .
The bustickets are very cheap, mostly its just 47 cents one way, but for a suitcase you pay extra, that depends on the driver's decision, some of them charge for them and others dont. In any case I never got a ticket for my suitcases.

Mosta is located in the centre of Malta, 9 km away from the capital city of Valletta, and easily reachable by the tourists.
Most buses pass from Mosta on the way to Bugibba – Qawra summer resorts, Cirkewwa (the port to Gozo) or Mellieha on the way from Valletta.
