Favorite thing: It really is a pleasant stroll along the promenade through Msida to Ta' Xbiex and into Sliema. Its not a long walk and the areas seem to merge one into the other. Its treee lined and plenty of benches along the way to sit and enjoy the views of the boats and across to Valletta on the opposite side of the creek.

Favorite thing: Along the promenade we past the ship the "Black Pearl" a former star of the British actor Errol Flynn's pirate films - some of my faourite old classic films btw. It is now used as a restaurant (many thanks Maurizioago for the update!) but we didn't go on it.

Favorite thing: The church here is the parish church of St Joseph and its setting by the creek meant I had to try and get a reflection of it - as in the into pic. This was one of the first churches seen on the short drive to Sliema from the airport and I soon learnt that Malta has numerous churches - more than one for each day of the year and that doesn't include the chapels either!

Favorite thing: ..and there were some interesting tiny boats like this one. Now I did hear that Gary Neville of Manchester United Football Club has a place near here...but could this be his boat!!??

Favorite thing: No real other must sees in this place - just a pleasant stroll along the promenade from here back to our base in Sliema which took about 40 minutes without being in a rush.
