Paceville

by klubkidd80

There is an area in the town of St.Juliens which is the major area for clubs and bars and restaurants.. its called Paceville. The crowd in this particular varies with the time of year you go. There are big super clubs such as Axis which have different theme nights and I believe even a gay friendly night. Then there are those other little holes in the wall which play just about anything and everything. Paceville kinda starts out in the centre and then has about five streets branching out from there. Anything goes really. I didn't notice the doormen being too particular about appearances.

Nightlife Tips in / around St. Julians

by NoRiskNoFun

If you'd like to know about the clubbing scene in Malta then Paceville is the place to go.. it's a little town in St. Julian's area where many clubs/bars/discos can be found all in one area.... almost all of them are free entrance and remain open till the very early hours of the morning.... some hot spots include 'Fuego' which is a salsa/latino club for a more mature crowd... 'Places' for very good house music... mixed crowd... 'Fash n Bar' house music & a very popular club on weekends... 'Havana' great club if you are into rnb ... 'The Alley' if you are into soft rock.... '7 Rooms' for more commercial music but wicked decor with low seating on white big cushions etc... There is also a Casino in the Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel in Paceville (don't forget your passport for that)...

Real hot nights!!!

by clemoun

If you want to meet young students (around 17) who mostly came with an organization to "practice" english in Malta, go to Paceville. There enter "the Bamboo" , "the empire" or "Sinners"those free-entry bars are filled with singles. You'll love them :) See how my friend seems to be Happy!!!!!! try not to look like anybody: where something else tan a t-shirt (a shirt 4 example!!)dress in white so that the girl you just spotted WILL see you.

Paceville: Nightlife Village

by maltese24

Ok, in Malta we have this small town called Paceville where it consists only of restaurants, hotels, beach, discotheques, bars, cinemas, bowling area, casino, and anything related to entertainment! Everything is located next to each other so it is easily accessible! Most tourists spent their nights in this place...and also locals... During the week casual....weekends casual/smart....depends which places one goes to...

Fuego: Salsa Bar

by dowdow

There are two Fuegos in Malta - one in Qawra and one in Paceville. Needless to say, the Paceville Bar is more lively. Have you tried Salsa Dancing .... Free Salsa Lessons are given on Thursdays and Fridays from 8.30 til 10.30pm at the Qawra Bar and if I'm not mistaken, on Wednesdays at the Paceville one - it's great fun! Entrance to the Fuego is Free. Smart Casual

In the Portomaso complex...

by JERICO

In the Portomaso complex (overlooking the yacht marina next to the Hilton) there are several restaurants and bars. Its easy to miss - go down the steps through the archway where all the construction is going on near the roundabout. There you will find Porto Vino (a wine and cigar bar) which plays jazz in the background and has an impressive wine list in an elegant environment that is difficult to find in Malta (and particularly so close to Paceville). Dress appropriately - and no shorts. Also, the cafe next door (Ceasar's) has good (and inexpensive) light food. Other nightlife is really in St. Julians and Sliema. Paceville (St. Julians) is full of bars and clubs, mostly a younger late-teen to twenty-something crowd, with some nice pubs thrown in for good measure. I enjoy the more pubby atmospheres, and prefer places like The Dubliner and Ryan's (both right off the roundabout at the edge...
