The local beers are cheap and delicious! Our favourite was CISK, a gorgeous lager served cold, perfect for those warm evenings after a day on the beach! Farsons, the makers of Cisk, also have a sweet soda concoction called KINNIE. Their slogan ('Taste first!') doesn't inspire much confidence. You should probably 'taste first' in case you don't like it. It reminded me of Pimms mixed with flat ginger ale. Some cafes and kiosks sell the juice of freshly squeezed blood oranges. It may look crimson in colour but it takes just the same.Many of the locally made wines are lovely...and very inexpensive!MARSOVIN are probably the best Maltese winemakers although some of their bottles are bit of a cheat.
