It was ok Ian had green curry Jack had chop suey and I can't remember what mine was called but it was chicken with peanut sauce it was tasty here comes the but it didn't have peanut sauce it had a sprinkling of salted peanuts over the top I joked at the time they had probably just emptied a boal of peanuts off the bar onto my meal.
The food was good the service was excellent we had an ozzy waitress she was very nice people from oz do seem to be good behind bars (pubs not the criminal type) anywho it was a very nice night. They had a special offer with the ribs I think it was a free pint mmmm
This is a very friendly restaurant, ran by an English man with alot of help from his Maltese manageress! It has a very friendly atmosphere and is frequented by English and Maltese in equal measures. You can sit at the bar and chat, sit in the comfy chairs to relax and drink with friends, have a meal in the restaurant area or play pool out the back. Its all catered for. There is also an excellent takeaway menu as well and the tasty pizzas are created before your eyes with ingredients that you chose. The food is excellent and very good value with a lot of the main courses being under 5 Euros. You can have something simple like a burger or chicken nuggets or a full meal of one of the house specials which include chef's special chilli, sweet & sour pork or lamb stew, to name but a few. This isn't my first D-viking tip I added a joke last time and I have been called because of it so here goes with no jokes. First of all the owner told us he had no tables but one was right in front of us so I said "isn't that one?" he said "well if you want to sit there I will bring you a menu".A German couple sat at the next table and the man was leaning on the back of the chair I was going to sit on so I asked very politely if I could sit down he started to shout at me in German I know by his tone it wasn't very nice, the owner came over to him and they had a chat while giving me very dirty looks needless to say I felt uncomfortable anyway we sat and talked for about 20 minets about what we planned to do on New Years Eve I asked the owner as he passed if we could have a menu please he said yes and off he went but still no menu it was over 20 minets after that we got up and left.I have...
We had been wandering around when the heavens opened so we went into M&S in Strait st we came out after Ian got some trousers and the heavens opened again so we ducked in to this lovely bar.We ordered two coffees and a couple of sandwiches I had ham and cheese it was really nice and the service was good I would go back anytime.True to my word I did go back with Ian and Jack I had pasta with chicken and mushroom Ian had salad (he has to watch his figure Ha! Ha!) and Jack got a sandwitch the waiter joked with Jack and swapped recipes with Ian.Great service and great food. Pasta
Paderborn Restaurant is an excellent place to taste Maltese type seafood. The pasta is really good and the fish is always fresh. The meat dishes are excellent too. Don't be misled by the name which is of a German town, it has nothing to do with German Food. Restaurant is owned by the Chef and the Maitre, so quality of food and level of service is always high. The pasta with prawns, any fresh fish and you myst try the Tiramisu', the best in Malta.
If you are visiting Valletta a great place to eat is Ambrosia. Run by Chef-Patron Chris and his wife Jane, you are guaranteed good food on every visit. Chris beleives in cooking only with fresh ingredients and thus there is no printed menu. The days dishes are shown on the blackboard. Veal Milanese
It is on the 1st floor with a great view of Mosta dome.We had burgers I was a little peckish so we called in and the food was good the service exerlent the young Maltese girl who served us was very friendly. I have only been once and had a burger it was very nice no complaints from either of us.
This seafood restaurant or diner etc. is located in the fish town of Marsaxlokk. As per our guide, here is the place where 90% of fish is caught of all that are caught on Malta. This restaurants is located just on the promenade overlooking the port full of Luzo's (typical Maltese boats) The are open for lunch and closed the rest of the day. seafood dish
This was a quick stop as we didn't have any breakfast. This is an open-air cafe with panoramic views of the Grand Harbour. It had a quiet, pleasant atmosphere with prompt and friendly service. The food was ok, but just to expensive for what we eat/drink, we were obviously paying for the view that was incredible. It was ok also because we were at 12 o'clock there and on the other side there was the cannon firing. So it was quite an experience
