The Blackbull Pub: The Blackbull Pub

    The Blackbull Pub

This is another bar which seems to be popular amongst young people however I don;t go very often. I have no idea why but it seems that when you have a few common places where your friends go - you always tend to go to those places! I go to this place just to have a quiet drink during the week in Summer as its nice when you sit outside !

Theres a vibrant nightlife to suit all tastes here. Choose from the latest in club DJ music to quieter piano bars, an elegant casino and superb restaurants.
We did some bars/clubs topping, amidst our favorite list were Havana, 7 Rooms & Salsa club.

Paceville party-street: Cheap drinks and "MTV-music"

by Turska Written Jun 5, 2011

None of my maps cave a name to this street. When you come fromTriq san Gorg (where most people come from St. Julians buses) and you see Burger King, you will also see the street with lots of neon lights and loud music. If you like that short of music, and want to get drunk cheap, this is your place. But since we hate this music, and we arther have the best possible beer, than cheapest possible beer, and couldn´t even think of drinking a 1 litre jug full of vodka and mixer (witch was 14e cheapest!!!) this was like hell for us. We just walked fast through, when we went to Baysteet shopping centre coupple of times to eat.
There was also some "Gentlemens clubs" as they say. In our mind those men really aren´t gentlemen going there.. ;)

Dress Code: Everything sparkly, tiny and "posh".. We didn´t actually fit in at all :D

Huggins & Friends: Real pub between party-animals ;)

by Turska Written Jun 5, 2011

This was the place we went allmost every night for one beer or drink. The music was not so loud and even if there was football at tv, you could speak without shouting and hear your friend ;) It was impossible to find place without football, so it was good if you find some with music playing during the came, and not only tv shouting out loud. One night the music was turned off, I guess it was some more important game then, but luckily we came just before it ended.
They had reasonable priced special beers and some little better drinks not too expensive. With better drinks I mean something else than vodka redbull.. My husband was happy to have GT (Gin and tonic) with around 2 euros!! Maybe not as strong as in Finland, but we don´t drink just to get drank (anymore, getting too old for that ;) ) so who cares.
They also have some foods, but we didn´t try it.

Dress Code: What ever you like!

    The Dubliner: Irish bar

by Turska Written Jun 5, 2011

Quite typical Irish bar. They had Guinness (one reason to go for us..) and the place looked nice, homely.. (We are not Irish, I didn´t mean that way)
We might have stayed longer, but like in many places, in here it was also the football playing at big screen. I´m sure it´s a good thing for many people, but not for us..
Could have stayed later if there wouldn´t have been a game on.

    Dress Code: What ever :)

Paceville is a nightlife area only one km away from Radisson SAS hotel (where i stayed), also that much close to other luxury hotels in St Julians (Intercontinental, Hilton...)

There are many cool clubs with various music here - Hawaii bar, Vodka bar, Plush, Hard rock cafe...

Peppermint Park and Sabor: Peppermint Park and Sabor

    by Elly01 Written May 10, 2005
    Peppermint Park and Sabor

    Peppermint Park

Peppermint Park is a bar where drinks are cheaper in my opinion than the rest of the bars in Paceville. Here the music is varied and once can also dance.

    Sabor

Sabor is a bar on top of Peppermint Park here you can dance the night away from salsa, mambo to commercial music. The only thing is to buy a drink and to dance it is a bit impossible on Saturday or Friday evenings as it is always packed with people - at times its even hard to get in let alone dance !

    Axis Disco: Axis Disco

    by Elly01 Written May 11, 2005

Axis disco is a must when visiting Paceville the first time however you have to pay unless someone gives you some free tricket or pass to go in ! Axis is divided into small sections where various types of music is played. At times many private parties are held and Axis is not always open to the public.

    Ballutta Square: Ballutta Square

by steventilly Updated Sep 13, 2004
    Ballutta Square

We loved Ballutta square, by day and by night. It's quite a gathering point for locals though tourists mingle too. There's a couple of bars & restaurants set into the bottom of the Ballutta Building down one side of the square, but for us the action centres around the kiosk on the opposite side of the square. Drinks (hot, cold, soft or alcoholic) and a variety of hot and cold snacks can be bought at very reasonable prices (this is true of many kisoks along the Sliema seafront).

A nice bar just back from the seafront near Balutta Square. Limited outdoor seating but nice, and quite atmospheric too and a little quieter than some of the other places around.
