Wembley Taxi Service is situated just opposite Portomaso and the grounds of the Palace of Grand Master Spinola. You can use their services 24 hours however at times especially on weekends and when there are importaat events in Malta for example on Christmas eve or New Year's eve its hard to find a taxi sevrice so be careful ! If you catch a taxi from the airport to St.Julians you will have to pay roughly Lm (Maltese Liri) 8.00.

The boat goes round teh colourful and unique surroundings of the St.Julian's coastline. The boat will take you to Portomaso complex where you can admire the luxurious apartments, cafeterias restaurants and yatchts. Then it will corss over to the Sliema coastline and to the little Balluta Bay. Then it will return back to boarding point - at the side of the walk path - which is just opposite Penang the chinese restuarant.

If you stay in St.Julians or Paceville and want to go to the beach head to the bus terminal which is situated in the back of Paceville. From there you can catch bus 645 (heading north) which stops at Mellieha Bay (the best beach in Malta). It only costs about 20 cent. You pay as you get on the bus. The bus driver do not have change money, and may send you off the bus if you don't have small or the correct amount of money. Also, the bus gets really crowded! So you have to expect to be standing the whole way.. It takes about 50 minutes to get to Mellieha Bay from Paceville/St.Julians and it can get extremly hot and uncomfortable in a crowded bus.. my best tip: try to get on the bus at the stop before to get a seat!

If you are staying in Saint Julians or Paceville the best way to get to Valletta and Sliema is by bus; number 62. It is really cheap; 20-40 cents. It gets really hot and sweaty though, and the bus is always packed! Make sure to have the exact amount of money (no bills!) as the bus driver have no or little change to give away.

Try to avoid using white taxis as they tend to be more expensive than the black ones.

You can easily get to St Julians and Paceville - the nightlife area, by bus (from Sliema) no. 66 or no. 70. There are also buses from Valletta. One way ticket is 25 cents of Maltese pound = 0.6 cents of euro.

To go around you can walk or you can take a cab which will take you 4-7 pounds for a short drive (10-20 euros).

Bus no. 645 leaves every half hour from Sliema via St. Julian's to Mellieha. Find out about the timetables if you're planning a night out in St. Julians while staying in Mellieha as the buses stop running quite early in the evening!
