A quick visit here on the way to the Neolithic temples of Mnajdra and Hagar Qim was a bonus - the bus stopped here for a few minutes so off we popped and snapped a few shots against the bright blue sky. The village of Siggiewi was one of the 10 original parishes and has a church of course - one of the foremost baroque churches on the island of Malta.

We didn't have time to go in the church - besides which we were enjoying the sunshine too much. However the interior apparently has an ornate baroque interior.

The square in Siggiewi is dominated by the huge dazzling white statue of the saint of the church's patron - St Nicholas. It ceretainly was eye-catching.

Ghar Lapsi (Lapsi Cave) is close to Qrendi. It is known as excellent place for diving. The Ghar Lapsi area is mostly in the 15 to 20 metres depth range. You also can see Filfla island from here.
