Slippery When Wet by Bilimari The water is just so beautiful in Malta that I cannot even come close to put it in words, and it's a perfect place for underwater photography. Besides the fish and sharks, there are many wrecked ships and planes lying on the seabed where you can visit. I've heard that archaeological finds are very common, but you have to report it. I've never had to do this in US, Caribbeans, and Australia, but here in Malta, in addition to your divers ID, you have to show a medical health certificate before you dive. In early January, water was a little too cold for me that I ended up not diving, but I saw some hard core divers going under water. Divewise Malta is a PADI 5 star shop, located inside Westin hotel in St Julian's. They offer several diving packages including a trip to Gozo and Comino, PADI diving courses from open water to Instructor, and some specialty courses including Nitrox.
Your own equipment always makes the diving experiences easier and more comfortable, but sometimes you cannot bring your all gears to the overseas trip. Still, you know that you should bring your own mask, snorkel and fins at least, Divewise do offer gear rental for those who like to pack light. (I brought mask, snorkel, fins, regulator with octopus, boots and gloves with me, just in case.) Available equipment rental: Mask, snorkel, fins, boots, BCD, regulator, wet suit (shorty and full), air tanks, etc. Leave a Comment Theme: Scuba DivingAddress: Westin Dragonara, St. Julian's, maltaPhone: +356 21 356 441Directions: Dive shop is inside the Westin hotel. Big screen by nigelw6443 If you happen to be in Bugibba during the footy season then you will find many pubs that screen most European games although the English Premiership and Serie A are the two favourites. In fact Malta has the largest Manchester United fan club outside of the UK.

Bocci - Watch It At Your Own Risk! by steventilly Bocci is a variation on the game of Boules as played in other Mediterranean countries. We stopped and watched Bocci being played on a couple of occasions, once by "locals" and once a competitive game between two Maltese clubs. We kind of got the hang of the rules, though I don't think I'm 100% clear about them. It doesn't look like a dangerous sport to watch, depsite the warning signs around the arena :-) Theme: OtherDirections: There's a Bocci club at most towns. The one in Bugibba is on the seafront quite close to Bay Square.
