Marsa Sports Club

by Elly01

The Marsa Sports Club is situated in the South of Malta just on the route coming from the airport towards the centre of Malta. Here one can play golf, tennis, horse riding, use the running track, basket ball court, squash and pool facilities. However its very popular for horse riding, golf and tennis ! Well I guess they have gear available on the premises as they are well equipped.

Recent addition to University Sports Complex!

by Elly01

Recently, at the University sports complex 3 football grounds where added. These are very popular amongst students who like to play football. They are continously maintained and very well kept ! Organise a team and come and join. You have to apply at the reception at the Sports Complex. Football gear and shoes I guess !

University Sports Complex

by Elly01

At the University Sports Complex one can attend the gym, play squash, attend yoga classes, play waterpolo and swim. The complex consists of two swimming pools one of which has two diving boards. The complex also has ballet classes and one can also play volleyball and basketball. Adjacent to the complex there is a running track where many outdoor sports are played. The complex also has a cafeteria, medical centre and a sports shop. It depends what sport you are going to practice however at the sport shop you will find everything including swimming costumes and swimming gear.

Diving in Malta

by Ben193

Every Dive is an adventure. You are going to see something different everytime. Malta and Gozo have loads of dive sites. Diving schools are abundant aswell so if you want to learn you can come . There are alot of wrecks and caves around the island if you interested in that kind of dive.If you would like more information either vist my other pages under Off The Beaten Track and Must See Activities I have posted different pictures of dive sites there. You can email me if you require more help or would like to ask me a question. If you have your own equipment it is better as you will be used to wearing it. If not all dive schools have equipment which can be rented. Exposure suits depend on when you travelling to Malta. Temperature varies from around 28 celcius in summer to 16 celius in winter. In summer make sure you get sunblock. Also which is a must if you do not know the dive site go...

Quad Bikes

by Sweetpee

On the same site as Popeye Village, Mellieha we found some quad bikes. It cost 20Lm per driver and you get 1 hour. You follow the guide across some of the rockiest terrain, down really steep slopes, through wooded areas and across the cliff tops over looking the beaches.A truley amazing experience, and one of the best ways to see some of Maltas untouched areas. All the equipment is supplied, although it is wise to make sure you are wearing sunglasses.

Great for sea sports

by Moon-Star

Malta is great for sea sports..Although it has a little number of sandy beaches, there are plenty of sports you can do..It is being estimated that Malta is one of the best country to do snorkeling in Europe. What is more, water and jet-skiing are very popular here.Furthermore, sailing is great tofeel good time. And ..and swimming for sure:)))Try Sandy Beach and ESE beach club in Paceville

Footballs coming home, it's coming

by nigelw6443

If you happen to be in Bugibba during the footy season then you will find many pubs that screen most European games although the English Premiership and Serie A are the two favourites. In fact Malta has the largest Manchester United fan club outside of the UK. Your favourite teams shirt and your wallet!

Bocci

by steventilly

Bocci is a variation on the game of Boules as played in other Mediterranean countries. We stopped and watched Bocci being played on a couple of occasions, once by "locals" and once a competitive game between two Maltese clubs. We kind of got the hang of the rules, though I don't think I'm 100% clear about them.It doesn't look like a dangerous sport to watch, depsite the warning signs around the arena :-)
