Football fever

The Maltese are great football fans. In Malta is a Maltese Premier League with 10 teams. Most of the League matches are held at the National stadium at Ta`Qali between Mosta and Rabat. Maltese football fans are enthusiastic and loud supporters. Despite the result of the game all seem to be happy and friendly. There is no crowd violence in Malta so it is safe to go and see football. I went to see UEFA -cup match between Birkirkara and Dinamo Moscow. Despite the fact that game ended scoreless and Birkirkara was elimineded there was great atmosphere in the stadium. If you're using the public transportation, you might face some problems. There are busses going to the stadium from Valletta but you should check the routes in advance in order to get there and back without problems. MALTESE AND FIT?

Gozo has water sports.Malta has the shooting of birds.Some Maltese are slim and beautiful. But....The Maltese tend to be the most over-weight people in the universe. Why don't they walk to work and play more football?There is also a lot of in-breeding.Why don't the Maltese get slim and fit?Maybe they're depressed by the lack of unity.Socialists should marry Nationalists.

If your holiday in Malta is in the middle of your local soccer season, there´s no problem! The Maltese are soccer fanatics too! They have a national league of their own and international games are also played.
