A Maltese bus by nhcram Everybody that goes to Malta cannot fail to notice the buses there. Old and full of charm is the only way they can be described. There is no air conditioning and you may even be lucky enough to get a seat. The fares are cheap but make sure you either give the right money or check your change! The network of buses reaches most of the villages and they run frequently and late in the more popular places. You can easily managa a holiday without a car on this small island by using the buses. They are good fun and you can see more too. Pick up a free timetable from the bus station in Valetta. Leave a Comment

by hopang Crossing between the island of Gozo and the main island of Malta is made easy by the efficient Gozo Channel Line between Mgarr and Cirkewwa. The fare is cheap. It costs only 4.00 euros for a return trip. The service is up to our expectations. The crossing itself is a lot of fun with spectacular view of the islands especially the picturesque Comino Island! Gozo Channel Line was established in 1979. You may also e-mail to the following address for more information regarding the Gozo Channel Line:- admin@gozochannel.com Leave a Comment

Traditional or historic harbour cruises are popular tourist attractions on the island of Malta. There are many cruise operators to choose from and the main ones are Alliance Cruises, Captain Morgan, and Luzzu Cruises with some of them offering Underwater Safari as well. Of course each one has a different route from the other. Please enquire the route that you intend to take before you pay for your boat tour. Most boat tour will pass the Grand Harbour and most cruises originate from the Sliema Ferry Jetty. Alliance Cruises also offers cruise round the Malta island which is a full day cruise including meals onboard. The Central Bus Station is located just outside the City Gate in the city of Valletta. There are buses travelling to almost every parts of the island of Malta originated from the central bus station. We understand that there are more than 60 bus routes stopping at or originating from the central bus station. Nevertheless most of the buses in Malta are old-fashioned buses. They are in a way lovely tourist attractions like the old London buses in the city of London. A lovely Triton Fountain (depicted in our hidden photograph) designed by Vincent Apap is located in the center of the bus station. It was erected in 1959. Leave a Comment

by hopang The buses in Gozo are really old-fashioned as a matter of fact but they are truly tourist attraction by themselves. The ride may not be comfortable and the bus is not air-conditioned. It can be very hot during the hot summer months especially in August. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Malta International Airport by hopang Malta International Airport is located at Luqa approximately ten kilometers from the city of Valletta. It is the only international airport in the Republic of Malta. The history of the airport dates back to 1958 when the airport for civil aviation was first constructed. It has only one passenger terminal building with two aircraft runways. The international airport handles approximately three millions passengers per year, most of them of course local and foreign tourists. Horse drawn carriages are excellent means of transportation to see the various tourist attractions in the island of Malta especially in Mdina and Valletta. Most of the pasengers are local and foreign tourists. Transportation by horse carriages definitely costs more than other means of transportation available in Malta such as ferry services, taxis and buses. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

A distinctive Malta bus by mazzap An experience in itself! Malta buses are frequent, cheap and offer a hot bumpy and usually very crowded ride! In the main resorts, it is difficult to see a road without a bright yellow bus on it at any one time. They all used to be green, and originally they commenced their life in service in England. Newer buses are gradually being introdecd, so get on one of the older ones before they disappear for good. You won't forget it! Leave a Comment Theme: Bus
