One of the many narrow streets in Valletta by SanguiniA, 1 more photos Valletta is small, but yet there is so much to discover. The big attractions alone could take you plenty of time ... and these narrow streets can be easily overlooked. So don't be afraid to 'lose yourself' and explore the tiny narrow streets ... they have a fascination of times long forgotten, and rest assured it will be like nothing you have ever experienced before. Our Lady of Lessie Chapel by SanguiniA This little chapel is alongside the Grand harbour road that from St. Elmo leads to the Valletta Waterfront. The chapel was first built in 1620 and then rebuilt in 1740. Leave a Comment

Msida and valletta view from University ! by Elly01 This photo was taken from the ring road of the University of Malta which is situated in Msida. Just turn around the roundabout and follow signs to University. Its quite a complex building with loads of greenery around it - even though it seems to be diminishing too by time !!!! From University you can see this view however and its very impressive when the weather is all foggy ! Leave a Comment

by ankx BirdLife Malta has once more participated at the annual British Birdwatching Fair held at Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland Water. The fair was held between 17 and 19 August 2001. BirdLife Malta's stand attracted a lot of visitors, many of whom were very much interested in the work of the organisation. This was also a fund-raising opportunity for BirdLife Malta. BirdLife Malta manages two nature reserves in Malta namely Ghadira and Is-Simar Nature Reserves. Both these reserves are a magnet for migratory birds. The reserves also host several breeding birds of national importance like the Little Bittern, Little Ringed Plover, Moorhen and Reed Warbler. Leave a Comment

by ankx Front side of the Temple Hagar Qim How was it possible - for people of Stone Age - to build such huge monuments? Leave a Comment

by ankx It seems quite clear that the former inhabitants of Malta had very deliberately chosen the places for their temples. The temples form an integrated whole with the surrounding landscape. It is also very likely that the alignment with the movements of the sun and the moon was of importance! Leave a Comment
