Café Royale is a great place to have an outdoor coffee in a scenic square, right by the ruins of the old Opera House. Coffee is good and the staff friendly... and as it is a docleria/pasticceria it means that their croissants and cakes are delicious.

Favorite Dish: Croissants it what we had... one with chocolate (in the photo) and one with cream... this last one was spectacular.

Fresh home baked cakes, pastry and pastizzi. Yum!

Favorite Dish: Their Pastizzi with the Ricotta cheese was the best of the island as far as I tasted them.

A: I think a full day in Valletta would do to explore the town quite well. You could add a second visit to Malta to go to Mdina.
