This is a very relaxed place where one can go even in beach wear. Infact, I go to this place at times just after the beach with my beach clothes. They serve burgers, chicken nuggets, hotdogs, chips, sandwiches and other light snacks. It is quite a Summer place and one can sit outside and enjoy the view. This place is nice when there is the feast of Sliema just acroos the harbour as you can see the fireworks well from up there as Gunpost is situated high up on the bastions opposite the Sliema front
Favorite Dish: burger with chips

Not so much a restaurant as a cafe, but a lovely one at that. Once a gun post and lookout at the very northern corner of Malta this place gives excellent views over Marsamxett harbour across to Sliema. It's run by a whole family - seeming to range from grandparents to granddaughter - and it's got a lovely atmosphere for that.
Favorite Dish: I had one of my favourites - sorry to say though that it's more an English speciality than Maltes - Eggs & Chips :-)
Sue had a sandwhich made with the traditional Maltese filler of a spread made from tomato puree & capers, along with her cheese. And then a big bowl of Melon to follow, and drinks of course. Could have spent all day here.

A: I think a full day in Valletta would do to explore the town quite well. You could add a second visit to Malta to go to Mdina.
