Hutoroc Restaurant: Hutoroc Restaurant
This is very good restaurant. It is well designed outiside, as well as inside. The staff is nice and well dressed in Ukrainian folk cloths. You may feel that you are inside a real Ukrainian farm house complete with a farmstead. Everything served to your table, including bread, sausages and spicy salted fat, are the restaurant’s own products. They have English menu. The atmosphere of the place determine you to stay longer and longer... And it is possible as prices are not high compering with the restaurant's quality. The restaurant is open every day from 11 am till 11 pm.
Cafena Orasul Vechi: Cafena Orasul Vechi
This is a really nice cafe. Its interior is well designed what makes the atmosphere of the place. The staff (young women) is well dressed too and speaks English. Except coffee they offer a wide variety of cakes. You may have a look at them and choose what seems to be the most tasty.:) Unfortunatelly, I was told that the cafe is open only till 5 pm. I hope only that day... Prices about average.
Green Hills Nistru: Green Hills Nistru
This is over-advertised restaurant. It is said to beone of the best restaurants in Chisinau. In fact, it isn't. The quality of dishes is ok but portions are small and if you are hungry you'd better take two or three courses. Morover, there is little offer of local cuisine. All these not in the building but under a tent what doesn't look nice. Prices are high. The restaurant is open from 9 am till 11 pm.
List of Restuarants
Besides the restaurants that are located in most of the hotels there are also a large numbers of restaurants in all parts of Kishinev, most of them opened after 1993 and are very modern. None of the below listed restaurants need reservations. Most of the restaurants are open daily from noon till midnight.
A modern restaurant, bright decor, and even brighter terrace. The menu is Russian.
Elegant and elitist restaurant where government ministers hang out. Prices are reasonable. The mix of traditional music with popular is also good. It has local dishes and also European cuisine. Prices are average.
Chinese food. Prices are average.
Serves Indian food. Although the food is not authentic it is pretty expensive by Moldovan standards.
Serves excellent Mexican cuisine. Don’t miss the fried pork with chocolate almond almond sauce.
Recently opened British style restaurant. Has different kind of good beer. European cuisine. It is the gathering place of the fans of the British American Racing team. Here you can watch all the Formula 1 races
These are just a few of them. There are many other restaurants which serve Mediteranian, European and Moldovan cuisine.
When the sun shines, outside cafes sprout like mushrooms after the rain, however there number in winter is huge too. They are not so noticeable because are inside. Many serve food, all of them serve Moldovan wine, beer, coffee etc.
There are three McDonalds in town - everyone knows about Moldova
It has my name, haha: A Restuarant fit for a Fen ?
ANDY’S PIZZA began with the opening of a small restaurant in the Center of the city on the 1st of June 1999. Now there are several pizzerias working all over the city, and the network is rapidly growing.
Although our ovens work continuously, and our restaurants are booked off, the prices remain constant, but the number of pizzerias grows, and our clients become the true friends of ANDY'S PIZZA.
Favorite Dish: You may enjoy any dish from the menu in any district of the city.
We choose the best places for our restaurants to assure for our clients the shortest way to their favorite resting-places.
We aim at making our menu accessible anywhere at any time. This is the destination of our deliveries, and their network grows from day to day. Your order will be delivered as quick as possible to any place you wish: to your house, office or Internet-cafe.
The Alaverdi: The Alaverdi Restaurant
I had fun experiencing something special, tasting an unforgettable aroma of famous Georgian wines and refined dishes, gifted to the world by sunny Georgia, your choice is definitely the restaurant "Alaverdy" .
Every detail - waiters, dressed in national Georgian clothes, pictures and daggers on the restaurant walls, heady smells of wines and specific dishes-expresses a magic spirit of affable Georgia feeling in the restaurant air.
Favorite Dish: I had a local Georgian dish which was really nice, although I can't remember what it was.
Yes I know, how very useful....! *grin*
Greenhills Bistro: Fabulous Service
This restaurant is positioned on Stefan Cel Marie, the main road in central Chisinau. The food is of a very high standard with excellent waiter service.
It has been my best experience of eating out in Chisinau to date.
Favorite Dish: Any of the lamb or veal main courses are excellent value and have wonderful taste.

Symposium: Elegant Dining
Traditional Romanian fare with French-style cuisine too, in an elegant cellar with attentive but not overbearing waiters. Not as expensive as it looks.
Favorite Dish: The tocana with mamaliga was great, and some fantastic desserts too.
Try pizza with vegetables!
Moldovian people don't really know how to prepare pizza, so they make their own pizza, which is different from italian. But vegetables here are so tasty ! I ate one with vegetables and found it very good, I liked it.
Kavkazkaya Plennitsa: Put this restaurant on your short list
In my opinion this is the overall best in town. They have an attractive main restaurant area, a quiet, smaller area, and an interesting courtyard area (in good weather). The food is excellent, the service is excellent (which is a rarity in Kishinev), and the prices are very reasonable.
Favorite Dish: Don't miss out on their shashlik.
La Taifas: Be sure you don't miss it
Crème de la crème of restaurants in Chisinau located just opposite the Romanian embassy. Wide variety of Moldavian cuisine, expect to pay around 10 EUR for a full meal including desert. And is so delicious that you can be sorry for you have only one stomach.
If you have the budget, opt for a bottled wine instead of the house one.
Favorite Dish: Don’t miss the home made noodles and the roasted duck filled with plums. In fact, don’t miss anything, try as much as you can.

La Taifas: Delightful Restaurant
As you enter, the host will offer you a taste of some local wine. Take it and enjoy. Inside you will find a delightful decor and comfortable booths. However, during peak meal times it does become a bit crowded. The food is very good and their service is more than adequate. They have a small group of musicians who play traditional music. The music is very good, but do try to get a booth away from where they stand, otherwise you will not be able to talk to your dinner companions.
Favorite Dish: Anything you get will be delicious
Dumbrava A: My neighborhood bar
The average tourist probably won't visit this place and they will miss out on a quiet evening in a good place. Raisa, the manager, sits in the corner and directs her wait staff - which is considerably more efficient than most in town. The beer is always cold, although if I'm there when you come, they have probably run out of Stare Melnick. Any of the menu offerings are good. On the patio you have a nice view of a park.
Favorite Dish: Try the fish and a bowl of mushroom soup.
"La Bunel": The atmosfere of the old Chisinau!
The restaurant will be open after renovation in January. It is situated in the centre of the historical town. I saw the project and I liked it very much. The atmosfere of the old Chisinau is see even in the toilets. The kitchen will be national and europian food.

Crème de la Crème: Patisserie
It’s lovely French pastry shop in the center of Chisinau where you can try hundreds of delicious pastries, well maybe not hundreds but really they have a great choice. The atmosphere is typical French and the desserts come from different French regions. A perfect addition to the late dessert is a cup cognac.
