Le Miramar is a bit of a puzzle if you try to categorise it into a themed restaurant.
Overlooking the Marina of Monaco and the main Grand Prix curcuit lanes of Monaco this restaurant has an excellent location. But what about the food?
Having been to this restaurant a couple of times I was happy enough to take my parents there when they came to visit me, there are plenty of vegetarian options available and I believe some dishes are halal too. This has to be confirmed with the manager however. (Halal due to the large number of rich Arab tourists flocking to this part of the world every summer).
We had fish, fries, vegetables and penne arabiatta, all of which were satisfying.
The service was good but then again it wasnt quite peak season yet. I would recommend this restaurant if you wanted something reasonably priced, clean, convenient and central.

This restaurant is also a wine bar, it is relatively new & designed with good taste. As the name suggests the menu is quite diverse & creative without beeing too complicated, there is a good choice of fish, meat, pasta & salads that can be described as world cuisine, keeping an emphasis on local produce. It has good & vibrant atmosphere, the service is spot on & the quality of the food is to high standard..I love the wine list with 120 different types, carefully selected from around te world. I think it is one of the best meals I've had in MC...
Favorite Dish: The Gnocchi are exquisit, they are home made. The seared tuna schezwan style is a good taste combination. Great chicken Coesar & smoked salmon terrine as starters.
I've only been twice, but there is loads to choose from as they also have a suggestion board..

Extraordinary expensive, but to sit and peoplewatch, worth every penny of a coffee, beer or glass of wine. I recommend ordering a small verre du vin rose, Cotes de Provence, at around seven euros. About double the price you would pay for the entire bottle in Carrefour, but you don't go to Monaco to SAVE money but to experience at first hand what it must be like to be absurdly rich and not care what anything costs. Silence that inner voice " How much?!!" You are not paying for the drink, you are paying for the view. And what a view....
Here you will seek to find answer these vital questions -
what are a woman's essential accessories?
why are two mobile phones absolutely necessary? and
who on earth would pick to wear blue patent shoes ?
Favorite Dish: Blow 16 euros on the Fruits de Foret Pavlova - between two, of course - for an immaculately presented ice cream treat, absurdly expensive, and watch the local Monegasques trickle inside to order their everyday lunch at these prices.

At first it felt wrong to visit an American-style restaurant in Monaco, but after the 1st sip of champagne and the 1st bite of my burger... my mind changed. This was a lovely mix of culinary cultures!

Cool appointments and ambiance. Dining al fresco was superb. Seafood and meat dishes were good. Tuna tartare was a winner! Service was slow (they seemed to be understaffed) at the time I was there for dinner with friends. It has branches in Paris and Moscow.
Favorite Dish: Tuna tartare. Fresh and delicious!

If you can't afford famous Alain Ducasse's restaurant "Louis XV"... don't worry there is still some hope for you.
Yes, there is a Mc Donald in Monaco ! It is located in the Fontvieille mall. Well, it is a nice Mc Donald, they had to adapt themselves to local standards. But the prices are the same than everywhere.
An other option for cheap meals is to buy your own food at the big supermarket "Carrefour" located in the same mall. The prices are also as everywhere else in France.

This little italian restaurant is a good value comparing to the price level in Monaco. The location is perfect, really near the Casino.
The italian food is good with tradition pizza, pasta or salad. The decoration is nice, with pictures of famous F1 drivers that came here. In fact the clients are very mixed, it's a popular place but I also heard that Prince Albert can show up from times to times !
This restaurant has an other major advantage : it is open ALL NIGHT LONG !
It's the meeting point of clubbers that enjoy having a pizza at 05h00 AM.
Favorite Dish: Pizza Regina

Much to the excitement of my (now) husband Alex, when in Monaco we had a lunch sitting beside a road that is part of the Grand Prix circuit.
We ate at an Italian cafe called Costadoro, which was just down the hill from the Casino.
The food was ok, but the location was excellent!
