Monte Carlo has a speed boat race periodically in early June. With Monaco being such a small country, it’s not like the boats are spinning round in small circles. No, it’s a distance race. These boat are coming from Cowes, Isle of Wight. Monte Carlo is simply the finish line, and you might get a chance to see the boats close up after the race.

One of the highlights to our recent afternoon in Monaco was to see the setting up process for the Grand Prix. For the four weeks preceding the race, it is possible to walk the entire pit row and to see them set up the grand stands, and bleachers for people to watch the Prix.
Even for people who don't like auto racing, the excitement is rather infectious and you find yourself doing a bit of research about some famous drivers once you get home. It is a lovely way to spend an hour or so along the city streets.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix is *the* spectator sport event in the Principality. It is also one of the most exciting motor racing shows^ add up some of the fastest cars on Earth and the narrow winding streets and you’ll see why. Tickets are costly, though, but you can always watch from a rooftop or the Casino surroundings.
