Monte Carlo Casino is the most beautiful and most popular casino in Monte Carlo. Entrance fee is charged for entering the casino proper. Nevertheless no entrance fee is charged for entering the slot machines room near the entrance to the casino. The casino is beautifully lit-up at night especially in front of its premises with the adjoining hotel and the restaurants.
Classic table games are available in the main casino such as the American, European and English Roulettes, Three Card and Stud Pokers, Trente et Quarante, Black Jack, Big Wheel, Punto Banco, Craps and Chermin de Far. Make it a point to visit the Monte Carlo Casino at night even if you are not a gambler - plenty of beautiful night scenes for your favourite souvenir snapshots!

Whether you've seen the James Bond movie set in the Grand Casino or not, a trip to this Monte Carlo landmark is a must!
However, if you do plan on visiting the Grand Casino, you'll need your passport to enter. Monegasques are not allowed to gamble in their own casinos, and passports are checked to enforce this law. The Casino was designed by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House. Even if you're not a gambler, you should go in to see the beautiful frescoes and bas reliefs. Many can be seen from the lobby of the casino without having to pay the entrance fee. There is a fee ranging from 50 to 100F, depending on which room you enter. The gaming rooms are spectacular, with stained glass, paintings, and sculptures everywhere. Makes the slot machines look a little out of place! There are two other more Americanized casinos in Monte Carlo. Neither of these has an admission fee, and the dress code is more casual.
Very strict dress codes apply: Men need to wear coat and tie, and tennis shoes are off limits. Leave a Comment Theme: Casino

Nightlife is not a problem. Three casinos - including the famous Monte Carlo Casino - beckon. Discos abound, restaurants - while surprisingly mediocre - are plentiful. You won't be bored.
Surprisingly, attire is casual in most places, with the exception of the more expensive places such as the Hotel de' Paris restaurant and the back rooms of the Monte Carlo Casino. In most of the casino, casual attire is acceptable, though you will feel a bit underdressed. If that is a problem, two other smaller casinos down the road are available. For girls
This season is brand new, 2001 is a modern collection about now. There is no reference to vintage, there is no retro.
The '90s were all about long and linear; this season I wanted to go against that and work with shape. The most important accessory is the bra. The breasts are covered but there is much more of a line. It is very curvy, very stretchy. It is perhaps a little Marilyn Monroe, but today's woman is not as vulnerable, she is strong and fierce. The shoulder is longer and stronger, more angular. The waist is very fitted.
Skirts slightly poof out at the bottom, there is volume around the knees with movement and shape. There are lots of strapless dresses, but with an understructure and very fitted. Pants are pleated at the top, with a peg leg and worn with high heels. Shoes are high and closer to the foot, still very sexy, with a closed toe. The most important color for shoes is white. The other shoe style is a leather basketball sneaker which is worn with swim wear.
For guys
This season, the silhouette is different. Last season it was closer to the body; in 2001 the shoulder is strong, the jacket shape is bigger. The trousers are worn loose at the waist, full, very long and straight. Shirts are slightly oriental.
This season there is an influence of judo and karate, complimented by a Chinese and Japanese feel. It is quite Zen. The rock star is still here but wearing different clothes. The Gucci man is more masculine. Makeup is used only to make the man more worldly. Robert Mapplethorpe's personal style identifies the look, for example a white cotton shirt buttoned to the neck and worn with no tie, or a beautiful short silk kimono worn over a shirt.
In swimwear, the trunks are stretch and tight to the knee, brief trunks are worn underneath. Some are transparent, some in Chinese prints in black, white, lavender, ivory, red, and green. Leave a Comment Theme: Casino

As I have mentioned, you MUST go to the Casino and dress nicely. There are many very wealthy people who come to Monaco's casino and it is a very safe place to be at night, so be sure to experience an evening stroll as well. While romance was not in the air on my trip to Monaco, this has the potential to be a VERY romantic place. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
