Sweedish Sandwich Shop

by ZoneMaster

Cap Nord is a small Sweedish Cafe and Delicatessen on rue Grimaldi, owned by Marc and Sofia, two very nice people. They serve sanwhiches and Scandinavian specialties that are a delight to taste. I stopped by there often during my three week stay to get a sandwhich for lunch or dinner, or to visit with Marc. I highly recommed that you go by there just to say hello, and sample their delightful food.

Day trip to Cannes in France by trains

by hopang

If you are staying in the city of Monte Carlo for a longer period why not take a day or two trip to Cannes in French Riviera. It promises to be a day of fun! You can either travel to Cannes by buses or trains. Travelling by buses is very much cheaper than travelling by trains but it takes more than two hours to reach Cannes from Monte Carlo. It takes less than an hour to travel by trains from Monte Carlo to Cannes. However cost of travelling by trains is seven or eight times more than that of travelling by buses!Among the great tourist attractions in Cannes include the impressive Promenade and the waterfront known as Boulevard de la Croisette, the Grand Auditorium where film festival is held annually, Cannes Old Town, Suquet Quarter, English Quarter, Mont Chevalier Watch Tower and Vieux Port. Many shops and shopping malls are located along the Promenade for those who are very fond of...

Day trip to Nice, France

by hopang

Take a day trip to Nice in France from Monte Carlo if you are staying in Monte Carlo for several days for your vacations. It is only an hour by bus or half an hour by train from Monte Carlo. Among the tourist attractions in Nice include the four kilometre long Promenade, Cours Saleya Flowers Market, museums and palaces. Many shopping arcades along the Promenade are available for those who love shopping. For those who are hungry and thirsty there are never short of excellent bars, pubs and restaurants.

Cannes

by Luchonda

Really not a "Off the beathen path" tip because Cannes is a favourite place for many people, call them budget tourist or again the upper class in this world. (50km from Monaco)Nicky - a good friend of me visited this place during one off the top attractions in Cannes - namely the yearly Festival - in 2007 for the 60th time. - Enjoy her pictures and memories

Drive the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 city road!

by WanderingFinn

We happened to have our short holiday in Nice about a week before the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 competition started, at around 20th of May. Naturally, as we were so near to Monaco, and had a rental car, we drove to see the tiny country too.We were lucky enough as they had started to build the fences, place the hanging advertisements and do other preparations too. The route was not yet closed from public, so one was able to drive the most famous places like the tunnel, the curve by the Monte Carlo Casino and so on.

Cote D'Azur

After you've explored Monaco, the countryside surrounding Monte Carlo on the Cote d'Azur is gorgeous. If you can tear yourself away from the glitz and glamour of Monte Carlo, take time to see the Cote d'Azur!

The Saint-Martin Gardens

by viddra

If you're looking for a pleasant, relaxing walk, the Saint Martin Garden's right for you. Here you can admire tall pines, aloes and agaves, fountains, bronze statues including a 1951 monument of Albert I, and listen to the sea.

Walking around the city I found several buildings like the one in the picture. The beautiful constructions are all over the city so the best way to see them is to pay attention and keep the eyes open.

Inside the cathedral

by matcrazy1

Visit the Cathedral in Monaco Ville and remember to get inside. Not the most beautiful interior, in my opinion but a lot of interesting small miracles there. Am I wrong? Look at one on my picture.

Fruit Market

by matcrazy1

Visit the fruit market in La Condamine - the old port district. Don't miss it - isn't it colorful? And how many fruits and vegetables they sell there - hmm... I didn't know many of them that time hehe.
