  • A rucksack or a light travelling bag to carry along with you when you walk around Monaco. It will certainly become handy when you purchase small items such as postcards and small souvenirs.

Light clothing is necesary when you visit Monaco during the summer months. Winter is rather mild, so a light jacket or sweater is required.

Do not forget to bring along with you to Monaco your medicines if you are on medication. Otherwise it will be very costly to acquire your medcines in Monaco. Other supplies you can consider bringing along with you are small scissors, a nail-creeper, plasters for minor cuts, painkillers and/or headache tablets etc.

You must not forget to bring along your digital camera, camcorder plus accessories such as battery, battery charger and memory cards.

Swim wear if you decide to swim in Monaco. There are not many public beaches especially in the city of Monte Carlo which is very rocky. However you may want to swim in the hotel you are staying.

Miscellaneous items include city map of Monte Carlo, guide book, mobile phone and the batttery charger, mp3 player, iPod etc.

  • To feel at ease here, you are really going to need some dressier clothes. In particualr, jackets nad ties are required in the famed Monte Carlo Casino, as are shoes other than sneakers!! Women will feel best in lightweight, but elegant, attire and possibly a jacket as well.

    Suitcase, backpack.

Wear light casual clothes in summer, it can get really hot here. From may till spetember is a temperature between 22 and 35 degrees Celcius quite normal here.

    Anti Mosquito cream

You can buy film here, no problem. Watch out when transporting your camera. Heat is not good for the camera or the film.

There should be a camping here somewhere, but I have never been there. You could bring a light tent and a sleeping bag, I suppose.

Sometimes the clouds pile up in the mountains and some rain will fall out. Sometimes this even happens in summer, most of the times in the evening. So bring an umbrella, just to make sure. On the picture: my dad taking pictures ;)

  • A standard size suit case should do the job. A suit bag may be necessary if you plan to go to the expensive restaurants or the back rooms of the Monte Carlo Casino, where coat and tie are required.

Good walking shoes are not a bad idea given the Principality's hilly terrain. Coat and tie for the men and dresses for the ladies are required at all the best restaurants and the back rooms of the Monte Carlo Casino. Bring along a swimsuit for the beach or pools unless you want to buy expensive Monagasque fashions once you arrive. For the nightclubs, bring along dressy casual clothes. Otherwise, casual wear is fine.

At night, the Prince's Palace, as well as the views of the harbor and the casino, are gorgeous. If you are any good at it, bring along some high speed film for evening photography.

The beach in Monte Carlo has an area where you can change into swimwear. The natives - I know this seems stereotypical, but it's true - seem to be into high fashion swimwear and speedos for the men. If you want to fit in, you should pack accordingly. Towels are provided by the hotels.

It is only 30 minutes by train in distance or 10 minutes by helicopter from Nice, I would suggest keep all your belonging into the hotel or coin locker if you plan to have a day trip.

  • No specifications known

Take with you what ever you want but keep the existing conditions in mind:
    - Monaco is a Mediterranean country. It is very hot in summer and mild in winter (--> sunglasses, short-sleeve shirts,...)
    - The Principality is a very luxury place: Strict Dresscode for the Casino and the Place de Palais.

    Photo and video?

Forget about camping in monaco. Camping in Monaco is like a fish with a bicycle...
