We cannot remember the name of this wonderful Western food restaurant. It is located at the foothill of the Prince Palace - the first restaurant on the right hand side when you walk into the popular open-air markets of the city of Monte Carlo. The restaurant is quite cosy and well decorated and the services are impeccable.
We chose egg prawn sallads and minced meat with tomato sallads and potato chips served with bread and butter. L'Escale, which in English means The Stopover, or Port of Call, specializes in fish and seafood, and was our favorite restaurant in Monaco. The staff were very frendly and helpful to us stupid Americans, and the food was absolutely delightful. During the two weeks that my co-worker and I were there together, we made it a point to go to a different restaurant or cafe for lunch and dinner every day. The wine wasnt bad either!
Prices in general in this type of eating came to 30 euros between two and that included wine so that was really cheap, I think a lot of the time its just a matter of knowing where to eat.
If you go to near the casino, expect prices to be much higher.
