Café de Paris, Monte Carlo: One of the finest cafe restaurants in the city

by hopang

Café de Paris is one of the most famous and one of the oldest cafe restaurants in the city of Monte Carlo. It is also one of the most famous cafe cum restaurants in the world! It is presently owned by a Swiss restauranteur who has been operating since the 1960s. The elegant cafe restaurant has impressive dining hall as well as outdoor dining areas. Its exterior facade has art deco style of architecture. It serves not only popular and fine French cuisines but also international flavour menus. The restaurant is popular with the rich and famous and is beautifully illuminated at night. Its specialties are fresh oysters and steak tartare which are said to be the best in the city of Monte Carlo!.

Can't remember the name of the restaurant: An excellent Western food restaurant

by hopang

We cannot remember the name of this wonderful Western food restaurant. It is located at the foothill of the Prince Palace - the first restaurant on the right hand side when you walk into the popular open-air markets of the city of Monte Carlo. The restaurant is quite cosy and well decorated and the services are impeccable. We chose egg prawn sallads and minced meat with tomato sallads and potato chips served with bread and butter.

Note Bleue: Best restaurant in Monaco

by ctj1961

Small menu but all is fresh and well executed. It's not cheap by North American standards but it's good value for Monaco. Best bang for the buck! Good food, good ambiance and romantic. Candle lit at night on the Larvotto beach. Tapas StarterGrilled fish of the day

L'Escale: Excellent Seafood and ambience

by ZoneMaster

L'Escale, which in English means The Stopover, or Port of Call, specializes in fish and seafood, and was our favorite restaurant in Monaco. The staff were very frendly and helpful to us stupid Americans, and the food was absolutely delightful. During the two weeks that my co-worker and I were there together, we made it a point to go to a different restaurant or cafe for lunch and dinner every day. We made an exception for L'Escale, as the food was such a pleasant surprise.

L'Argentin: Great "New World" Steaks

by kucha

Stylish and popular, this restaurant is a very upscale version of what you might discover on the Argentine plains, loaded with autumn colors, polished copper, leather banquettes, and big windows overlooking the sea. Take a break from gourmet French and sample gourmet Argentinean -- it's definitely the best grilled meat in town! One of the specialties is a tampiquea, a much-marinated spicy filet of beef served with guacamole, salsa, tortillas, and a puree of string beans. An equally delicious choice is a standing roast beef presented on a wheeled trolley and carved at tableside

Louis XV: Rated One of the World's Best

by kucha

Live how the Other Half Lives and Go for the Best. In fact, this restaurant is consistently ranked in lists of the WORLD"S BEST restaurants. Moreover, as opulent dining rooms go, this has to be the most over-the-top -- huge chandeliers, ornate frescoes and a quite outrageous flower arrangement. It's palatial, but the exquisite menu of Alain Ducasse easily shines through! Many of the tables also command beautiful and romatic views of the Monte Carlo harbor. This is true Riviera cuisine: Limousin veal, Pyrenean lamb and amazing local herbs and breads. But get ready, food and atmosphere like this come at a price: the six-course (and more) menu costs about US$335.

La Spiaggia: Italian flavor

by vinanny

Good food, good prices at this outdoor cafe. The owner was on premises to ensure that every patron was happy. We complimented him on the food and by doing so, made a new friend. He introduced us to his cooks, grandmotherly italian ladies that spoke no Engish. But when the owner interpreted for us, we found that these ladies love to cook and love to get compliments on their cooking. The Italians are friendly people that take pride in traditional cooking. We were treated to samples of special olive oil blends, and cheeses. Our group of 6 had a sampler for 14 euros a person. We were treated to pastas, different types of pizzas and salad. It worked perfect because we each had our own favorites from these selections.

Fuji: Fancy Japanese Restaurant (summer)

by Elainehead

Seasonal restaurant open from May 25th to September 17th, 2005.Opening hours: From 08:00 PM to 01:00 AMDinner: Menu & à la Carte.Dress code: Jacket.Reservation highly recommended if you are coming before 11 PM.Restaurant PhotosNotice: Air- conditioned room, you may bring a warm sweater/jacket. No designated areas for smoker or non-smokers. If you are seated beside smokers, don't be shy and ask to change tables.Everything is very delicious here but a bit expensive than the same restaurant at the shopping mall "Le Metropole" (where they only serve lunch during the high season). Besides the price difference, the decoration is more refined. Customers? Well, a lot of has-beens who want to be seen, Jordan (aka Katie Price) wannabes... My favorite dish is definitely the USUYAKI(meat cut into paper-thin with vegetables). Price: 33 €Other dishes:- SUKIYAKI (stir-fried bite-sized pieces of meat,...
