Chocolaterie de Monaco: rich chocolate in more ways than one

by sirgaw

Got a spare million or two, then consider buying your chocolates from Monaco. Close to the royal palace so its just possible that you could stand in line behind a member of the royal house, so watch what you say - LOLMagnificent selection of rich chocolates and there are free samples available - but don't take too many. The box of chocolates shown in the photo costs 59 Euro for 560 grams.

Open-air Markets in the city of Monte Carlo!

by hopang

The open-air markets located at the foothill of the Prince Palace are excellent locations to do your shopping in the city of Monte Carlo! The markets are very colourful and deal in wide range of items. Among the items on sale at the open-air markets are mainly household items, clothings and textiles, shoes, leather products such as handbags, belts, travelling bags and small souvenirs from Monaco. The open-air markets attract not only the locals but also many foreign tourists. Clothings such as t-shirts, household items, and small souvenirs such as key-chains and caps. Prices are generally cheaper than those of the other outlets in the city of Monte Carlo.

Specialty BOutiques: Shopping

by kucha

Shopping in Monte Carlo is not as different and special as it was years ago. Many of the designers now have shops in the United States. There is a concentration of top names in fashion in Monaco, as you would expect, given the expensive life style. From the Avenue des Beaux-Arts between the Place du Casino and the Square Beaumarchais is one area. Another is under the Hotel Metropole. Most people enjoy wandering the area and window shopping, even if you don't buy anything. The normal shopping hours are from 9:00 to noon and 3:00 to 7:00 pm.

Trademarks

by Prasnjavi

I think that there is no any world famous trademark, which doesn't have its shop in Monte-Carlo. "Pierre Cardin", "Hermes", "Valentino"... Things are more expensive then in France but - this is Monte-Carlo.

All kinds of shopping

by Goner

There are alleyway shops that sell the souveniors and gift items. Some are located near the cathedral. The Casino Square and neighbouring thoroughfares are lined with the expensive jewelry stores; Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Gérard, Bulgari, Piaget, Albuquerque, and the expensive clothing stores: Hermès, Céline, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, Louis Vuitton, Per Spook, Burburry's, Chanel, and the like. Great for window shopping. At the alleyway shops near the cathedral I bought a silver charm with the faces of the Prince and Princess of Monaco. They also had tote bags and other touristy stuff. The silver charm was around $10.

Le Métropole, a shopping mall in the heart of Monte-Carlo, close to the Casino. Please check their site. It will all depend on what you buy.
