By plane:Nice Aerogard International Airport (NCE)Busses or taxis can take you to Monaco. Also helicopters can take you there for about $60 for 1 person (www.monacair.mc and others)I recommend to oriantate at the formula-1-circuit (picture) and use your feet. You'll see a lot.

Heli-Air Monaco

by CliffClaven

The seriously rich don't take the train from Nice, however pretty they might find the 45-minute ride that meanders along the sparkling Mediterranean coastline. No, the only way to do it is to hop on a Heli-Air Monaco helicopter for the breathtaking six-minute flight from Nice Airport to Monaco's heliport. At just over 50 dollars oneway, it's worth it for that once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The easiest way to get to...

by Krystynn

The easiest way to get to Monaco is via Nice International Airport (the 2nd BUSIEST airport in France!)... It takes only a couple of minutes to drive from Nice to Monaco. Whilst planning for a short trip to Monaco 2 Christmas ago, we enquired on the rental charges for a BMW convertible; we informed Hertz that we wanted to pick up our car at Nice Airport. For a 3 days rental period (with unlimited mileage), we were charged only US$150... which is reeeally cheap. Of course, this rate was the discounted rate given to us because I showed them my Singapore Airlines frequent flyer card. Do check with Hertz to see which card gives the best discounts! For flexibility, you may wish to rent a car and drive around the entire Cote D'Azur area (Monaco included). If you are indeed heading towards Monaco, please take the ultra-scenic route (one of the most beautiful in the world!) - the MOYENNE...

In summer, you'll do better to take the train. There's air condition in it, there's no traffic, etc. Also, if you sleep in Monaco you can take the helicopter from Nizza to Monaco (only 7 minutes! and for only one person it is cheaper than to take a taxi). Do never take a taxi, they are very expensives!! There ara busses going from Menton to Nizza and have stops in any village between.MotorHomes has a reglementation to enter in Monaco.Arround Monaco you will love Eze Village, midel age town, very typical. There are two parfumeries there you can visit. You'll do better to have a car to g there.Visit also St. Jean Cap Ferrat, very nice. There's a pedestran road going arround the Cap, it is very romantic. In St Jean, you can also vist Villa Rotschild. The gardens are really great!!You can also stop in Beaulieu and visit ville Kerylos. It is a reproduction of a greec villa. You can go to la...

I drove in from Montreux, Switzerland, going through the St. Bernard tunnel into Italy. So I had to go thru the Swiss Alps and then the Southern Alps in Italy. Unless you're really into mountain roads, I would recommend flying into Nice or driving in from western France.I found driving to be an easy way to get into and out of Monte Carlo while I was visiting other parts of the region, but while in Monte Carlo itself, I walked just about everywhere. There are lots of one-way streets in the town, so it's easy to get side-tracked from your destination. Yet the town is so compact that from the center of town to just about anywhere the walk was less than a half mile.

The usual, car, ship, boat,...

The usual, car, ship, boat, raft, swim, train or you might consider a bicycle, like this young lady. Ann took this picture in Nice. I was going to label this as Nice in Nice in hopes of interjecting a smile for the picture she's taking. I want you to mull that over in your mind for a bit. Well, did you get it? For the benefit of those who may not be familiar with it, there is an expression used by people in the United States. If a young lady is sitting across from you and she is maybe a little careless, has her legs apart so you can see right up the dress, we would say 'She's taking your picture!' It is not really a vulgarity, just an idiomatic expression. I don't know whether the Brits use this expression or not. Inexperienced as I am. :-)) Since originally making this comment Dunk67 has informed me that the Brits say 'she's winking at you' in an effort to advance my education on...

No better place than this to start sailing, so go to your nearest Monegasque boat-dealer and get yourself a nice white yacht...
