by Agraichen This can be a warning / danger or a tourist attraction, but either way, be warned, if you are carrying anything that resembles a camera or recording device, it must be checked at the door. I'm not certain how many of you photographers would leave a couple of Nikon bodies and a few lens just sitting in the "coat room" regardless of how guarded it was. Dress Code for Monaco by geeyook There is is a dress code in Monaco and you may be subject to prosecution if not in compliance. Apart from the immediate area of the beaches and bathing facilities, you may not walk around bare chested, bare foot or wear bathing suits around town. Leave a Comment

Thinking of strolling about barefoot? Wanting to take off your shirt perhaps? Forget it! in the city there is no barefoot and no bare upper bodies allowed. Sport that on the beaches, why don't you! Leave a Comment

by keeweechic Drivers in France are likely to ignore the posted speed limits and exceed them. They drive on the right in France and you must give way to drivers coming from streets to the right of you. There is no shortage of service stations either on the major road routes or the smaller side roads. Leave a Comment

by keeweechic Petty crime is rampant in the wealthy, tourist-filled towns of the Riviera. Pickpockets are common in crowded public places. Don't lose sight of your belongings on the beach. . Leave a Comment

by sandravdp Be careful driving around here. The roads are high in the mountains, they are very small. Do not try speeding here or passing another car where you drive behind. It's very dangerous, it will not be the first time when an accident happens here. Leave a Comment

The biggest danger in Monaco is that you will gamble and spend yourself into oblivion. That said, a few cautions are in order. Littering is a hugely bad idea that can get you arrested. Don't do it. The police are tough as nails, and you can be fined for not wearing a shirt in areas away from the beach or pools. Walking along the major roads is dangerous - learn the little underground pedestrian passages. Unless you are a car racing fan, do NOT go during or around the Monaco Grand Prix. The place is overrun with more tourists than usual, the high prices are higher, the already horrible road situation is worse, and the pretty, if urban, landscape is scarred with temporary crash barriers and grand stand seating. This is not worth it. Leave a Comment

by Tume If you travel to Monaco by your own car, be very careful with driving. Streets in Monaco are extremely narrow and some of local's cars are extremely expensive to repair. Leave a Comment

by jlvillalba Casual wear is requested everywhere in town, do not wear like anarchist, or you will be rejected promptly. I took out my shirt and one minute later, a local police ask me to put it on again, you have to be appropiete, it is a common sense rule. Just wear comfortable things!! Leave a Comment

by iavormar Monaco is a very quiet and peaceful city... On the picture is the House of Government. But be careful on the road... There too many robers... Not in Monaco directly, but in South France... So beware of thiefs! And don't foget closing your window, no matter how high you sleep or how hot it is... Leave a Comment
