Monaco is a very quiet and peaceful city... On the picture is the House of Government. But be careful on the road... There too many robers... Not in Monaco directly, but in South France... So beware of thiefs! And don't foget closing your window, no matter how high you sleep or how hot it is...

by jlvillalba

Casual wear is requested everywhere in town, do not wear like anarchist, or you will be rejected promptly.I took out my shirt and one minute later, a local police ask me to put it on again, you have to be appropiete, it is a common sense rule.Just wear comfortable things!!

Despite the somewhat successful exploits of Steve Martin in the movie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, do NOT be tempted into any criminal activity (however petty it may seem) in Monaco. Monaco is VERY well monitored and has a substantial security force. Similarly, if you desire to keep any information confidential, don't bring it to or discuss it in Monaco. I have been told that cell phone signals are monitored in Monaco as well.

Well, if there is maybe ONE danger, it's that in a moment of madness you'll be tempted to join the Foreign Legion! Why there was a recruiting station in Monaco is a mystery to me! Maybe some millionaires would like a change of scenery...

generally,a lady can walk alone in the streets at night with all her jewels;if your car is correctly parked,it is useless to close it,you may even leave the keys inside, nobody will touch;as soon as you leave monaco to enter france, you may be welcomed by young robbers(they are protected by french police and justice),so be careful...COUCOU!!!!it's me

Look both side of the street before crossing. You run a chance there is a F-1 car zooming along the downtown area.Seriously, the Grand Prix takes over Monte Carlo during the race and the city is brought to a stand still (except the street).

by soccatala

Well, there a lot of police. On Summer you must wear a T-Shirt and a bermuda, not a slip. The trains and busses between Nizza an Monaco ends very early, better to be sure at what time it's the last train... Well, I think that it's a town very well known by everyone... No special big problems. Ah! Don't forget your papers (passport, or driver license), there's often police controls and you will need them, also, if you are 21, you will probably need them to go into the Casino or some discos.

Monaco is extremely safe. Because lots of people with lots of money visit and live there, there are discreet cameras placed all over the place watching out for trouble, and there are lots of policemen walking the streets.

The picture speaks a thousand words, doesn't it?Always present in high tourist traffic, Casinos, finer hotels, especially bars and lobbies, be careful, not that I would know but I've heard tell........What can you learn in one day, really, as we had no experiences to report, it all seemed very safe to us. MONACO seems so pristine that I doubt they have much trouble there.

Don't get undressed!

by Maline

Thinking of strolling about barefoot? Wanting to take off your shirt perhaps?Forget it! in the city there is no barefoot and no bare upper bodies allowed.Sport that on the beaches, why don't you!
