Nizozemsko 2010 - Amsterdam

by qquest111

AMSTERDAM - CITY OF CANALS

by LoriPori

The largest city, AMSTERDAM is also the capital of the Netherlands. A small fishing village in the late 12th century, Amsterdam became one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age (17th century). During that era, the city was the leading center for finance and diamonds,Amsterdam's main attractions include its canals, The Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam Museum, Anne Frank House, Vondelpark and its red-light district.Amsterdam is amazing. Love the canals, the boats on the canals, the unique architecture and the fact that it's centrum is completely walkable.

Winter scenery: snow! part I

by a5floor

Every winter season we are hoping to get snow. Especially when Christmas is arriving. This year (2009) we got snow on 17 December. And the prediction is that we will get more snow in the next couple of days. And every time there is snow, people get crazy in the traffic. Loooooong traffic jams (up to 30km one part). But the best thing of snow are making these great pictures!! Especially when the sun is shining.
