Coffee Shop 36: Have a cuppa Joe.
This is the only Coffee Shop I will plug because a) there are so many and b) enough's been said and written about coffee shops. The cool thing about this place is that you can sit in the back with your coffee and watch over the main street (Damraak) and the canals. This allows you to see the various forms of transport (bikes, cars, boats, trams, and feet) all in action at once. I think the amount and variety of transport used in Amsterdam is one of the highlights of coming here, also one of the dangers (imagine Frogger). Its a very relaxing place and I didnt find it as touristy as other coffee shops.
